How many did they lose, graduation, transfer, injury etc. That would help too.

Will the Covelli Center look anything like the artist renditions?

She was before she tore up her knee, but was confined to the back row this year. Was even the Libero for a pretty good stretch.

Murr, Gonzales, and Podraza should and will be starting next year. Witte and Vanja are locks for the starting lineup too. Still going to be alot of growing pains but there's going to be a lot more talent in Columbus next year.
I'm looking at 2020 too as there is some big time firepower coming in. Emily Londot and Rylee Rader are absolute beasts, and pay attention to the recruitment of Syd Taylor here as well (looks like Ohio State and Minny are out in front here).

Londot is transitioning to a pin right? I believe she played some OH for Mintonette and OPP for team USA? Anyways, future is bright. I believe Rader just took home USA Today POY.... as a junior. Monster numbers from her this HS season. Hoping this OSU team is successful with all the talent they get.

Yeah its hard not to see Ohio State turning it around with the talent they have coming in these next two years. And correct, Londot is a pin hitter now (OSU will likely use her as a left side) in pairing with Gonzales. Carlston should still be kicking himself over botching the Jonni recruitment though.

It is a good sign that we haven't heard anything on Carlston. He has earned time to turn things around, in my opinion, but you never know with Quick Hook U.

Might be a few potential drawbacks to the new arena.
One is the student section. St John was quite walkable from the North/West Campus dorms. Also a lot of off campus housing across Lane Ave too. You probably have to have lived in the dorms in order to truly appreciate what a pain in the butt it would be to get up to the Covelli Center. You'd have to bus it. Not much else going on up there, so you'd have to figure out a bus schedule that you don't often use. Not much off campus student housing around there either.
Seating. St John was quite spacious. Plenty of seating. Covelli looks like they really pack 'em in there. You might not be able to get as good of a seat. To be determined.
Parking. Won't really know until we get there. Presumably it would be easier to park on Football weekends, but people might have to park that far north for the FB games. I don't really know, as I always watch them on TV. It can't be as bad as St John though, which was right across the street from the stadium.

It can't be as bad as St John though, which was right across the street from the stadium. It's most definitely going to hurt student attendance. It's so much easier to get students to go to St. John's being that it's within a few mins walking distance from north campus and the west towers. The average student isn't going to want to walk 10-20 mins or shuttle just for a volleyball match. I will say the new arena looks absolutely awesome though, spare for not enough seating.
