Wow a very good schedule. Or if your a competitor a bad schedule Quite possibly the easiest B1G schedule in recent memory. Only play the following once: Illinois Minnesota Penn State

Love the preseason schedule. I’m often a bit underwhelmed by Coach Cook’s tendency to play those snowflake schools (for lack of a better term, no offense meant) with the excuse of “oh well they just really want to come play at the Devaney”. Awesome to see a nice variety of teams this year as far as the portion of the schedule that we had any control over. I would’ve liked to see maybe one less Rutgers/Northwestern match and maybe a second match with a top tier team instead but I’m looking forward to seeing what this team can accomplish

Only play the following once: Illinois Minnesota Penn State I think I can safely say that I've done as much Big Ten schedule analysis as anyone, and I can categorically state that this is hardly out of the norm. One of the top teams almost always has only five games against the other four Top-5 teams. I have previously detailed the Big Ten schedulers penchant to not separate Penn State and Nebraska in other teams schedules which unnecessarily amps up the difficulties for one travel partner over another. Given the unbalanced schedules, this can and does happen consistently. Notably to Minnesota two years ago who played Penn State, Nebraska, and Michigan State once each while travel partner Wisconsin played all three twice.

Yeah, the unbalanced schedule is just a reality of life in a conference of 14. Unfortunately, it can also play a large role in who holds a conference championship trophy at year's end.

It doesn't have to be as bad as they make it. True! Well; the B1G has to use a revolving schedule throughout a period of years! It takes a while before everyone plays each other the same amount of times! On the big picture it is the same for everyone! GO HUSKERS

Hawaii shouldn't schedule Nebraska for Beach until it schedules Hawaii (either at the SSC or Devaney) for indoor. Every Spring Hawaii's beach program accommodates Nebraska's Beach program, which is made up primarily of Nebraska's indoor team. Hawaii's Beach team takes a schedule hit each match played against the Huskers (because Nebraska's Beach team is a low-quality opponent). Put Hawaii on your schedule, Cook.

That gave me a chuckle. Has Hawaii played a non-conference away game this millennium?

Hawai'i has played Nebraska at Nebraska a couple of times. Nebraska has never played a regular season match against Hawai'i at Hawaii. They could have flown to play at Hawaii instead of playing in San Diego.
