My players (their moms) just got back from the BYU camp. Here is what they told me. McKenna looked great--ran the older kid court and was super involved in all of the drills. Can't tell you HOW happy that made me. Her husband was also coaching at the camp (not sure if this is Brutus Buckeye...but they said he was awesome)! Everyone seemed pretty excited for next year. They were kind of bummed that they didn't see the players play more. They dind't see Mary (I am sure she was recovering from her amazing summer) but one of the moms said that she talked with RJP--who was headed off to Anaheim. She said RJP was super excited about her future (and looked absolutely ripped) but sad to be done.

Rumor has it that BYUtv will not be televising (at least live) any of the Monday through Thursday matches...Only Friday and Staurday Hoping this is just a rumor.

Looks like it's true per the schedule byucougars.com/schedule/w-volleyball/Opening weekend is on BYUtv, second weekend is all on WCC Network. Apparently they are on BYUtv only once throughout conference which is against San Diego. There are a few games listed on BYUtv Digital which I assume is the normal TV broadcast set-up but just not televised? I would think so since some games are on WCC Network and that is the basic live stream format. There are also two games that aren't at all streamed which seems odd for BYU.

Does anyone remember what that name was?

What do you guys think the starting lineup will be??
I’d still like to see what a healthy Ballard can do at OH. She showed lots of potential as a RS her freshman year before she got injured. There seems to be a lot of competition at OH though. It’ll be interesting to see who starts there and see whose healthy. Who will play six rotations this year??
OH: ?? OH: ?? I’d like to think Robinson has a spot but as mentioned before, lots of competition. We don’t know the status of Miller. And if Ballard has improved. Think Erin Anderson will be making the biggest freshman push for playing time at OH. MBs: Gneiting & Eschenberg RS: Grimmer S: I think WBower will eventually be the lone setter, despite her size L: Lake DS1: MBower
Haddock-Eppich and Jones-perry will be greatly missed. But I’m excited to see a much more balanced offense this year, and finally have some type of RS offense (hopefully)..

Miller is practicing with a brace, and looks better than Ballard ever did last season. She is playing this year.

Thinking of the OH position--I would think Robinson has to play simply because she is the one 6 rotation pin hitter that is available. Am I wrong on this, are Ballard, Anderson or Miller back row pin hitters??? Maybe Grimmer? It seems like BYU really needs either Robinson or Lyman simply because they can play back row. Just my perception going into the season. I will say, that I am always excited to see what young players our coaching staff develops...I think BYU does as good as anyone at developing talent and getting the most of our players.
