Will CAL POLY indoor team be playing a Spring Schedule?
Asking the new head coach,...Caroline Walters.
I just wish Hawaii and CP schedule friendly spring matches every year.

I just wish Hawaii and CP schedule friendly spring matches every year. Pretty sure you don't find teams in the same conference playing each other in
a Spring affair.
Could be wrong.
Nevertheless, coach Walters should get her team out there competing in
the Spring.

Coach Walters letting no moss grow,...announced the start of several summer camps at
CAL POLY. Scheduling a home tournament in San Luis Obispo on the CAL POLY campus?
This is something POLY's previous head coach never did as a prelude to conference.
How aggressive will first year head coach Walters
be making up her OOC schedule and will we see 2, 3 or 4 teams playing a home tournament in SLO?

A Spring schedule,...best thing for a new young head coach and her players.
Of course, you won't have your star player,...off playing Beach VB. But, those 4-5 matches against other West coast schools could prove invaluable.

With most teams getting ready to start spring volleyball in April,...nothing out of CAL POLY whether or not they will indulge.

No Word.
Coach Walters, CAL POLY's new head coach, should have two full scholies to give in 2019,... after graduating Adlee Van Winden and Katherine Brouker from the 2018 team.
Her 2019 roster shows 15,...all returning players,...there are no new recruits posted at this time.
Whether she and her staff will decide to give those scholies to walk-ons from 2018 or HS recruits for 2019.
Currently, coach Walters is carrying 5 seniors for the 2019 season.

Well,...unless I missed it, coach Walters has not recruited any new players for the 2019 season. Just a guess, but, maybe waiting on the end of Spring quarter to see if her roster stays intact.

Rich Kern shows 4 indoor recruits for Cal Poly and one Sand recruit for 2019. Some schools don't make their official media announcements until they have all the photos etc lined up and can announce them together, but if a coach of a top program waited until now to find scholarship players for this fall, they would be in pretty bad shape. The 4 indoor recruits were listed between August 2017 and August 2018.
Jordan Amoy, 5'11 setter from Wave VBC in San Diego Kendra Ham, 6'0 OH from Wave VBC Amy Hiatt, 6'3 OH from NCVC (Northern Cal) Grace King, 5'10 OH from Vision (SF Bay Area)

New recruits usually will not be announced until they have been admitted into the university in their declared major. (There are no students with an undeclared major attending CAL POLY).

If, it is injury related---we probably will never know til season ends. My guess Torrey Van Winden, coach Walters & coach Rogers met and decided to give her the remainder of the season off. Not risking any related problems.
