I am sure, just like Plummer and Barboza...all that hype. Plummer is the only college player right now that has a chance at playing for the Olympics. . Well of course

The way I remember it, Cepero was hailed as the next big thing and "changing the position" (collegiately) because she was so tall and so athletic. Then she went to train with Toshi, and her hands came back an absolute wreck. Suddenly she wasn't as highly touted. Oh yeah let's blame Toshi. She was always a highly touted player, heck she was the National Player of the Year. She just didn't put up the same numbers she did over the course of her career. She was highly talented, no questions about that, and one of the best at Nebraska. I wasn’t there when she was training with Toshi. It’s just how I remember things. She went to train with the national team, and the next year she was doubling a lot of balls, and that was the “word on the street.” Might’ve had nothing to do with Toshi.

Overrated and has 2 of the last 3 championships, 2xPOY, 3x 1st team AA, 2x ESPNW POY, Pac-12 FOY, 2x Pac-12 POY, 3x Pac-12 1st team. 1x VbMag 2nd team, 2x VbMag 1st team, 2k18 Co-Mop NCAA Championship, 2x NCAA all-tournament team....I think anyone would love to be “overrated” with those accolades.

well, she is after all the all time career kill leader for UCLA (rally scoring era) and the team could not get into the tournament after she graduated so you might be right after all

Do you feel better after this post? Did your life change? My statement remains. Dang, dude: hitting that upright just knocked All Semblance of common sense outta your cranium, yo? Reread Ballislife's post re: KP's ACTUAL accomplishments: or is that too hard for your injured head? (Man, hitting a goalpost upright - need to wear a helmet, next time). I'm a former player-coach. I have watched most All of Kat's CHAMPIONSHIP matches (just finished re-watching the 2016 NC final: vs TX). Have you Ever watched one of her matches (or ANY match: considering your inane comment)? Hate ta tell you, Zip, but you Have NO CLUE As To what you are saying. THAT being said, you may be from SPRI-GLCL (that you Rick?). MY statements remain!

I do feel better, and my life has changed a lot after Stanford won another National Title to make it 8 titles, Biotch, and Plummer winning her second AVCA POY Trophy. Now ask yourself, has it changed you from being a bitter sore loser, to just a sore loser? LMAO!

What year did she trained with the National team? In 2000 they won the title, and Cepero AVCA POY, in 2001 they returned everyone including Meendering, and were the favorites to repeat, eliminated by Stanford in the Semis, in 2002 hosted regional, losing in the Regional Final to visiting Hawaii. 2003 Hosted regional, eliminated by the visiting UCLA Bruins in regional semifinal.
