FC Elite (Wisconsin) is a team I didn't look up - doing them now they would come in at #14 - this is legit talent on the team. Madeline Koch (Purdue) Elizabeth Gregorski (Wisconsin) Hannah Vanden Berg (Marquette) Addison Barnes (Loyola-Chicago) Maggie Cartwright (Arkansas) Brooke Mosher (Illinois - 2021) Depending on how we want evaluate Mosher, this team could be very close to top 10. Not very many commits on Mizuno M1? Saw fc elite play this past weekend. I wouldn’t even put them in contention for gold at nationals. They are good, but not eye catching in any way.

Do you think that's low or high? If this price is all-inclusive (dues, uniforms, tournament entry fees, travel costs) and they have their usual travel schedule AND the Europe trip is included, $6,000 would be a bargain. Low Multiple tournaments, qualifiers, nationals and overseas.... I believe they have a heavy club schedule. Wonder what or if any additional costs are associated with it? Maybe someone knows The 18s schedule might be lighter since they wrap up in May. www.northernlightsjuniors.org/teams/2019-schedules/ only shows four travel trips plus Italy for the 18-1 team. The 17-1s have 6 travel tournaments and have another month of practice but no Italy trip. Not sure of the dollars.

Maybe someone knows I can't speak for certain (Don't coach or have relatives at lights) but from what I've been told the club operates as a non-profit so some of their expenses can be written off. They also operate a warehouse in their facility that sells volleyball gear/equipment/gifts which I'm sure subsidizes some of the team costs.

17-1 and 17-2 are $5500 to play for the season. Does that include travel/expenses? Or NOT include? It includes costs for travel (airfare/bus and hotel) for all tournaments in the USA from what I can see. I don't know if that also includes the Europe trips for the teams going.

I like lists - so here is a list of the top 15 Club teams this year per Black Ink Score. Black Ink awards points for players that show up on prepvolleyball senior aces including honorable mention and on the Under Armour AA list. I made estimates for Juniors and Sophomores for senior ace points based on the Junior list and other sources...
I have listed players on the roster that had a black ink score along with their college commitment. I am sure I am missing some - and it is possible that some club has a bunch of talent on their roster that I missed. But I wanted a working list of the top clubs for this year - and the top players on those teams and where they are going to college.
1. Muncina (Indiana) - 29.0 Melani Shaffmaster (Minnesota - 2020) Mabrey Shaffmaster (Uncommitted - 2021) Kylie Murr (Ohio State) Alyiah Wells (Alabama) MJ Hammill (Wisconsin - 2020) Ellee Stinson (Northwestern - 2021) Bonnie Bostic (Yale) 2. Houston Juniors (Texas) - 24.5 Anita Anwusi (LSU) Skylar Fields (Texas) Sanaa' Dotson (Oklahoma) Isa Zelaya (Pepperdine) Kennedy Muckelroy (Oklahoma) Audrey Penn (Uncommitted) 3. TAV (Texas) - 24.5 McKenzie Nichols (TCU) Morgan Christon (Kansas) Jenna Wenaas (Texas A&M - 2020) Emma Clothier (Florida State) Madi Whitmire (UConn) Ciera Hecht (Texas A&M) Mykayla Myers (Washington State) Symone Wesley (Houston) 4. Texas Image (Texas) - 24.0 Audrey Nails (TCU) Molly Phillips (Texas) Azhani Tealer (Kentucky) Alli Wells (Alabama) Elizabeth Carroll (Northeastern) Londyn Gray (Georgia) Emily Merrick (Tennessee) 5. Northern Lights (Minnesota) - 22.0 Kennedi Orr (Nebraska - 2021) Marissa Hinkle (UCLA) Kyndra Hansen (Iowa) Ellie Husemann (Minnesota) Rachel Kilkelly (Minnesota) Blythe Rients (Iowa) Peyton Suess (Wake Forest) 6. Legacy Elite (Michgan) - 19.5 Jessica Robinson (Michigan) Jessica Mruzik (Michigan - 2020) Celia Cullen (Michigan State - 2020) Desiree Becker (Northwestern) Paige Briggs (Western Kentucky) Hannah Grant (Michigan State) Madison Dowd (Georgetown) 7. TK (Georgia) - 19.5 Gabby Gonzales (Ohio State) Reilly MacNeill (Ohio State) Alexa Fortin (Georgia) Anna MacDonald (Wisconsin) Meghan Froemming (Georgia) 8. Arizona Storm (Arizona) - 18.0 Kate Grimmer (BYU) Shannon Shields (Louisville) Nicole Hoff (Long Beach State) Lauren Ohlinger (Boise State) Sedona Sherman (Pacific) Kylee Stokes (South Carolina) Jazmyn Wheeler (Uncommitted) 9. KC MAVs (Kansas) - 17.5 Caroline Crawford (Kansas - 2020) Amaya Tillman (Louisville) Ayden Bartlett (Louisville - 2020) Audrey Klemp (LMU) Brooklyn Cink (Missouri State) Kayley Cassaday (Tulsa) Ellie Bichelmeyer (Rice) 10. Minnesota Select (Minnesota) - 14.5 Isabella Ashburn (Wisconsin) Anna Wolf (Minnesota - 2021) Jasmine Mulvihill (Concordia) Emma Schmidt (Northern Iowa) Maizy Jackson (Northern Iowa) 11. Sunshine (California) - 12.5 Grace Frohling (San Diego) May Pertofsky (Michigan) Alex Laita (Oregon) Zoie Stewart (Yale)
Your top two teams aren't looking that great. Munciana has been inconsistent this year (terrible showing at Triple Crown, the gold standard tournament so far) and Houston Juniors didn't even qualify for USAV. MN select also isn't looking that hot. Not sure about injuries there.

HJV - we have talked about them before. No denying that this team is very talented, but as a team are a bit of a mess. They came darn close to beating MN Lights at Triple Crown on the final day tournament - going extra points in the third. This team has been nowhere close to being a top 15 team. Don't know much about what is going on with MN Select - but then their black ink score (not just the rank) isn't much different than teams in the 20's. On the other end - Top Select has been much better than their black ink and closer to their prepvolleyball preseason rank.

Other than players not actually playing, why would the blackink score change?

Legacy and Northern Lights will be squaring off in the AAU Championship match at 12:00pm ET. (They beat Sports Performance and Munciana respectively in the semifinals)
Looks like the only way to watch is with a $19.99/mo subscription to BallerTV.

Used to be able to watch it on ESPN 3

Used to be able to watch it on ESPN 3 Used to be able to watch two featured courts at the OCCC for free on the AAU website (via YouTube). Then the finals were broadcast on ESPN3. Although, that was only for the finals matches held at HP Pavilion at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The entirety of this 18s event was at the convention center so they likely didn't have the production capabilities for an actual ESPN3 broadcast.

Championship point for Legacy Elite. Jess Mruzik (Michigan '20 commit) was named 18 Open MVP; Celia Cullen (MSU '20) and Hanna Grant (MSU '19) were named 18 Open All Americans. Terrific season for the Cottrill's and Legacy.
