Great for Europe! This will help strengthen the tournament, and I'm glad Japan will have to travel to a WCH/Olympics for the first time since 2016.

Allocations will probably be:
Africa - 2 Asia - 4/5 Europe - 6 + Hosts (2) + Defending Champs (1) N. America - 5/6 S. America - 2/3

The Dutch always comes so close to medaling, but reaches just short of the podium. (4th at Rio 2016 and 4th at 2018 WCH) I wonder if any of their main roster will retire after Tokyo 2020.
Poland's squad is still quite young and inexperienced. The only players that stick out are Smarzek and Kakolewska. But they also have a young talent, 198cm 18 year old Magdalena Stysiak.

Shrugs, the Japanese haven't been medal contenders for a long time now, so I don't think it would matter a whole lot either way. Their glory days in the 60's and 70's, when they won many major championships, are distant memories now. Ever since they were replaced by China as the top Asian volleyball power in the 80's, the Japanese have been struggling to win another major FIVB tournament. But it will certainly boost European team chances, not having to adjust to large time changes can give them that little extra boost. Of course, other strong teams are out there, so it's not certain European teams will automatically prevail.

According to an article posted by the Argentine Volleyball Federation today. There will be a new set up for the qualification for 2022. The host (Netherlands) and World Champions (Serbia) will qualify directly, which is the same as it has been. However, for the remaining 22 slots in the tournaments, it will be done as follows. The top two teams from continental qualification tournaments (AVC, CAVB, CEV, CSV & NORCECA) will automatically clinch their spots. So 10 of the 22 slots. The remaining 12 slots will have 6 intercontinental pools of 4 teams. The the top two teams of each pool will qualify for the tournament.
