Watching the officials miss the pass interference call against the Rams reminded me of the line call at Florida a few years ago. What others are there?

Totally blown call and an embarrassment for the NFL. It was so bad in fact you have to wonder if the fix was in.

They want to retain the play where the defender hits the ball just as the receiver catches it and knocks it loose. But that's the whole reason they have these bad pass interference calls and also why they have this ridiculous problem deciding what a "catch" is. They want to retain the ability for the defender to stop a catch by hitting the receiver as he catches it, but in order to do that they need to accept a certain amount of "hit him before he catches it" and "knock the ball out after he catches it" plays as being "during the catch".

My team was playing in a DIII tournament. My kid attacks and the opposing defender digs a high, arching ball that is going to come down between her own LF/MF and might graze off the bottom tape of the net.
Opposing setter tries to chase it down. I think the ball does indeed graze the bottom tape the best the setter can do is make a diving attempt at a one-handed play to keep ball in play.
The ball was so close to the net that is was able to go off her hand in a similar high-arching path as it went under the net and up on our side. A couple of my players got under the ball in the middle of our court and one of them caught it as my team celebrated the point.
The "up" official called my team for the lift (because we caught the ball) and awarded the point to the opposing team. The "down" official agreed with the lift call.
The two officials were the only people in the gym who did not see the ball go under the net on its way up, off the setter's hand. Even the official scorer at the table was telling the "down" official the ball went under the net.
Yes, my head split open. Yes, I got carded.

When a team is on a scoring run, why do coaches feel the need to sub someone else in when they are doing just fine? I've seen this in women's volleyball a lot. All the unnecessary changes only to blow a big lead and losing a set and/or match.

One time my dad was playing in a softball tournament. His team was already eliminated, so they were sitting around watching the final game of the tournament. In the bottom of the 7th inning, with less than 2 outs, there was a runner on 3rd that would have been the winning run. The batter hit the ball foul down the first base line. Outfielder runs out to catch it, but then realizes if he catches it then the winning run scores from third. So he intentionally lets the ball drop. The umpire calls the ball fair. Run scores, game over. The losing team was of course screaming at the umpire, but so were we up in the stands. The umpire turned around and yelled to us that he was going to call the cops and get us kicked out. Somebody from my dad's team yelled back that it didn't matter if we were kicked out, because the tournament was over because of his lousy call. It was glorious.

Good thing FIVB now has a challenge system with video playback.

This NFL blown call just goes to show that you have to have the right rules in addition to the best video equipment.
No one has better video replays than the NFL. Yet, this Saints call, the single worst call I can ever recall in the NFL, is allowed to stand because of the rules.
Several NFL coaches have argued that EVERY play should be open for challenge/review. The coach would still have limits on number of challenges, but she/he can throw the challenge flag for absolutely anything.
The NFL call is even worse than the UT/Florida line debacle. Because you could argue that Texas had a very good chance of still winning even without that bad call.
The Saints, with near certainty, would have won this game if they could have challenged that call.
Real black eye for the NFL.

They also had numerous opportunities to win in spite of this call. They have no one to blame but themselves.
Were there no bad calls on the Rams in this game?
Anyhow, football has the dumbest rules of any sport this side of cricket. It's always fun to watch the game's fans complain. Pick a different sport.

It was 1985 - and if you play out the rest of the inning with the correct call the Royals would have still tied or won the game.

The roughing the passer call against Tom Brady in the Chiefs game was... well don't pat him on the shoulder. You'll get a penalty.
