You are missing the point. So Cal teams already play in 3 of the toughest tournaments in the nation. Our fees are twice the amount of your fees or more. When we travel, we have not only travel, we have to extend our practice schedule and travel further than everyone else. nd don't give me that crap you travel to California. You come here to play in a tough tournament against the best teams. You are not coming here to qualify. Yorktown came to So Cal and they did not have a bad tournament, they were not a good team, yet they can qualify at some crappy tournament later on. But if you are from So Calif you should not be considered because they didn't spend another $1,500.00 to $2,000.00 to play some crappy teams? and then you think that some team that is crappier than Yorktown should get the nod over a team like SB Coast? SB Coast has beaten Legacy and Pac 6 twice each. Yorktown would never beat them. If SB Coast played Yorktown, they would win at least 9 of 10 times, but we should pick some team that cannot medal in a tournament that has a bunch of mediocre teams because they traveled to 2 or 3 of them. Settle down SB Coast parent. You should get an at large bid. Next time take care of business in the bid tourney so we don’t have to listen to this. SB Coast is one of 4 teams from SO Calif that would make the Nationals a better tournament. Seaside, Pinnacle and Pulse (probably OCVC also?) are all worthy teams also.

But to qualify for the BJNC those tough tournaments are not qualifiers so that point is moot.
If NCVA and SCVA would use separate weekends that may give you 2 or 3 chances if you include the Chicago bid tourney.
These are the rules and it is sad that your team did not do well. But your team may still get an at large.
I just know that the new CIF rules did not help any SCVA teams still hunting but I do believe if the resume is as you say the bid will come.

In think instead of 10 and 10 bids for SCVC and BWVC, 12 and 8 between those two events seems more reasonable. Chicago has more teams participated, SCVA has more strong teams.

Based on the teams that have traveled to Chicago and SCVC for bid tournaments, the max they will offer is 10 at each. With the diversity of teams that go to BWVC, they won't remove bids from there. With the strength of teams at SCVC, they won't remove bids. USAV is trying to grow the game and when teams from almost every region go to the BWVC, they will keep it the way it is because it is doing exactly what they want. Bringing competition from everywhere to be under one roof. Sorry, but the way USAV has it no, works for me. It gives equal chances to teams everywhere.

Predictions for who will walk out of BANE with a bid at 18s? I think ECVC will snag at least one of them, but not sure who else will be a contender. Not sure if Canadian teams coming for bids, based on seed numbers, both of them have chances to get bids. Other than ECVC, Niagara has a good chance. I believe Niagara and ECVC finished 6th and 7th in Florida.

Nobody said you had to go to the BANE. Your in a bane thread. But you could go to rochester, chicago,Florida, Texas, Richmond? So you have options and it is a bullet point on the check list of who gets at large bids. Pa is in the same boat bane is our last event we can do until third week of June. Or second Sunday of the month. You are missing the point. So Cal teams already play in 3 of the toughest tournaments in the nation. Our fees are twice the amount of your fees or more. Well someone is new to the game or has a very short memory. Nobody was glad to see them in their pool in 2017 & 2018 in any tournament in the country! Yes, this years Yorktowne 18's is down compared to those teams. They can struggle with ball control and lack a high caliber setter. But you play to get better and grow your game. It's not all about bids and best.
Moreover, yorktowne12 takes PA players (KRVA) to HP every year and does exceptionally well in the International division. Taking a snapshot of this years team is low.

Anyone that has used TM2sign: How can I find a list, WITH TEAM CODES, of the teams in each division? I can do it manually, but it's a major pain - go to pool page, cut and paste that, and then click each team to get their team code. I've done it for the division I'm interested in, but I'd like to get the bulk data to do a bid evaluation analysis, like this: volleytalk.proboards.com/post/2027487/thread

This tm2sign schedule is very confusing. Just checked 17 Open round 2 schedule:
Round 2
17 Open Division 1 Pool 2:
1. (2) 17 OR1D1P2-1st 0 0 0 0 0.00% 0.00% 0.0000
2. (6) 17 OR1D1C1*W 0 0 0 0 0.00% 0.00% 0.0000
3. (10) 17 OR1D1P5-2nd 0 0 0 0 0.00% 0.00% 0.0000
4. (13) 17 OR3D1P1-4th 0 0 0 0 0.00% 0.00% 0.0000 (what's that OR3D1P1-4th coming from?)
Round 2
17 Open Division 1 Pool 3 1. (3) 17 OR1D1P3-1st 0 0 0 0 0.00% 0.00% 0.0000
2. (7) 17 OR3D1P2-2nd 0 0 0 0 0.00% 0.00% 0.0000 ( same question for OR3D1P2-2nd?) 3. (11) 17 OR1D1P4-2nd 0 0 0 0 0.00% 0.00% 0.0000

To change it up a little, here’s a list of programs that will be pulling primarily from one high school and should be interesting to follow to keep track of this weekend. This list gets shorter and shorter every year, must have been 7-9 last year.
Yorktowne NEVA Black (Northeastern, PA State Champs) ***Team at 17’s USA Division
Plainview VBC/PVBC (Plainview, NY Section 11 Champs) ***Teams at 16, 17 ***Strongest Team = 17’s ***Weakest = 16’s
Capital Sliders/CSVC (Shen, NY Section 2 Champs) ***Teams at 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 ***Strongest Team = 17’s ***Weakest = 15’s and 18’s
Sporting Albany (Shaker, NY Section 2 Semifinalists) ***Teams at 16-1, 16-2, 18 ***Strongest Team = 16-1’s ***Weakest Team = 16-2’s
