Bringing this back, a bit, to volleyball: my son's team played "hitmen" at BJNC. The club had open qualified teams in every HS age division - they changed the name, and had new uni's (quite awesome, really)- but the team code remained.
It was a bit awkward, because none of the other boys knew who the club was. They were talking amongst themselves "who are these guys, how'd they get a bid?" and then to the team "why'd you change your name?"
And every team that played them learned this story. I have to say, it's ever so much fun to explain child porn and such to a 14 y/o who just hit puberty (necessary, but not fun).
Speaking with their parents, the boys (collectively) were completely blindsided by this guy, above and beyond his crimes. Sure, it's not nearly as bad as those he abused, but still - he screwed every boy, on every roster.
The particular team we played did very, very poorly by any objective measure. But ... they didn't give up, ever. Every play, every point, every ball - contested. Kudos to those young men.
So - I hope he rots in hell.

Looks like they just stopped using the current Hitmen facebook page even and let it go dormant, I wonder if mike was the only admin on it.

The name they played under was "Future."
Another tidbit: the "hitmen" jersey was still around, at least for jersey trading. I'm guessing it was a cool name, at least to a teenager, and I saw several boys I know are not with that club wearing 'em on day 4. (so... a small bright side for the boys.)
I believe the Future jersey was voted "best of" BJNC, though I can't find a source for that. I do know they were hit up after every game for swaps. I don't know how big swaps are on the girls side, but the boys like really loud for swaps. And these were seriously wild, kind of a purplish tie-dye-ish die sublimation, both jersey and shorts.

Swaps are a boys thing, very rarely will you see girls teams making swaps. Most of the larger clubs rent out jerseys anyways or offer a discount to returning players if their jersey still fits or is in good condition. EDIT: Just tried to google them and looks like they have registered the switch with the region but have outdated SportsEngine links or dead links. www.greatlakesvolleyball.org/wix/index3.cfm?action=juniors&view=clubs&cat=anticipated&div=j&gen=Jr. www.sportsengine.com/org/xcel-athleteswww.sportsengine.com/lost-and-found

results.advancedeventsystems.com/event/PTAwMDAwMTcxNTE90/clubs/5462/standingsNote the team code. Again, the limited amount I talked to the parents - they didn't want to screw the boys over, further, so it seemed like a superficial name change, only, to prevent the google effect at BJNC and not losing what they'd earned - an open bid is a very tough get. Swaps: having been one, and having raised two - teen boys are weird. Also, their jerseys rarely last more than a year b/c of size changing issues, which may explain part of the reason the boys get new sets every year.
