looking at the Florida tournament schedule, This weekend is kicking off a good run of decent money tournaments. Dig the beach is paying out 2,600 for men, 2,100 for the women (based on # of entries). Never understood why some Cali players don't come to FL for 2 months and try and pick up some cash. FL adult schedule:

Doesn't make any sense why more CA guys aren't in this, airfare can't be that much and they could likely stay at one of these guys places. So many lazy players who can't be bothered to actually try.

$300 ish for flights, probably $150 each for accommodations, gotta pay for food, getting to and from the tournament. all of that to split $1200? no %*$# they don’t play them very often

The thing would be is to stay out for a month. You could pick up some ad hoc coaching $$ too. Not saying you'd make a killing, but you'd cover your costs and be a month or so ahead of the other Cali players.

They trained with Pedro and Bruno yesterday.

May or may not be worth it to the Cali teams to fly in if they know they are going to win, but I dont see any quali or semi-main draw team that is definitely going to win an event that strong.

Those guys can make $10,000+ coaching indoor from December to May in California. That doesnt even include individual lessons which can get them $40-$60 an hour. They have limited expenses, some have family. And some even have part time jobs working at the indoor facilities and probably make bank from it so the clubs can associate their names to the club.
I can absolutely see why some of them dont go to Florida. Troy Field is one example of the above.
