Does anyone have any insight into Louisville this year based on the talent Dani Busboom Kelly has brought in to date and the players coming in the summer?

Potentially the most athletic team in the ACC next year. Will be interesting to see how the setter and libero positions shake out. Middles are solid, pins are strong and deep but unproven (except for McHenry if healthy).

DBK has some solid pin hitters that are coming in and one that redshirted. I think they will have some young growing pains the beginning of the season, but by ACC play I think they will be strong. I think the questions for them is can they get middle production as well as who will replace the setting of Rivera and strong defense by Sauer. Those are big tasks. As a UNC fan I loathe Louisville but DBK is a class act and is going to get a lot of praise the next few years for taking them up the next level.

I think Amaya Tillman can/will step in pretty quickly at MB. And a couple options at setter with Tori Dilfer or Freshman Shannon Shields.

Setter they will recover find as I heard dilfer is in the gym right now and crushing it. Shields is very talented as well. The OH2 and MB2 are the big questions for next season. Amaya Tillman will start at MB, and the next MB will be between piper roe and Emily Scott. Alexis Hamilton will take sauers spot at libero. The OH2 will be maybe chausse?

I could see Tillman on the right. Roe and Scott are both very good and have a year of experience. Hamilton if healthy will be an excellent replacement...I thought she was awesome as a freshman.

Tillman is most effective on the slide - so she would lose that by moving to the RS. She also moves very well latterly. She seems to have a pretty high VB IQ - so she may be able to handle a change.

Huh? You can run the slide as a RS, quite effectively if your middle is an offensive threat.

Van dyke will be hitting the right forsure. I also heard a 6-2 could happen with aiko and van dyke on the right.

I’m curious how the new players look. It will be fun to see how Aiko has developed.
