Yes team black won, but it was Shields that set for them. You can see her in the pic with black jersey on and Dilfer in red.

And vtalkers were already counting Stivrins out in earlier predictions. Ha!

Team is young but talented. It will be fun to watch them grow as a team. Let the season begin.

Do we think UofL will take a set off of Florida?

Did anyone attend the exhibition today? Looked like from social media the lineup was OH: McHenry/Chausse MB: Stevenson/Roe Opp: Jones S: Dilfer L: Hamilton

Emily Scott started at MB instead of Piper Roe today. Rest of line up was right. Per GoCards- had 12.5 blocks in 3 sets.

Saw video with Stivrins at OH, Shields/Nena combo, Hendricks at L. Did they play more than 3 sets? Scores were brutal a few of those sets

yes I was there. I understand U of L played a 6-2. There were 4 sets played. The Miami coach asked to play a 4th set. Same players started set 1 and 2. In set 3 others played, with a change in the libero position

Your statement seems uncertain for someone who watched the scrimmage.

They ran a 6-2. Tillman and Jones were the right sides until Tillman came out and was replaced with Nena (I think in the second set). Nena may redshirt (rumor only) so it was good for her to get playing time. She was having a lot of fun and has hops. 4th set they occasionally let Jones serve and hit from back row, and Tori set from the front row one rotation. After her serve, they were back to a 6-2. McHenry played about 2 1/2 sets. Alexa replaced Hamilton in the 4th set as libero. The other 2 defensive specialists, who played a lot last year, saw very limited playing time. One came in to serve once or twice. The other played across the backrow once for McHenry. Stivrins played the whole 4th set. She came in for McHenry towards the end of the 3rd set (I think). I was there, but honestly I wasn't keeping track of the ins and outs very well (with beer in hand) so I'm probably wrong on some of the substitutions. I know Claire and Aiko did NOT come out. Lots of interchangeable pieces. Miami struggled a lot in serve receive (especially the first game). And Louisville was having a block-fest. Hamilton has an awesome serve. Pretty sure the plan is to run a 6-2. Besides her serve, how did Hamilton look after coming back from injury? What type of balls did they set Tillman on the right?

Sounds like the ds position has depth on this years team. Should be fun to watch. How about the middles will they have depth at that position? They will have a true test right out of the gate. Really not much has been said about Louisville hope they will have a good showing

Watched the game last night... Hoping they run a 5-1 with Dilfer. Shields and Tillman didn’t do much. Aiko needs to swing high and not try to bounce everything. Setters need much better connection with middle. Maybe DS the OH2? Seemed to struggle in serve receive. They gave too many free points away against a talented team

My kids have played against her for years (including losing 2 state championships to her) and she has an amazing ability to turn even the crappiest pass into a good set. Fierce competitor with lots of court energy.
