I posted about the Tijana Boskovic interview in Episode 1 here for those interested, but just finished listening to the new Jordan Larson interview, which you can find on Spotify.  

A few highlights:
- The interviewers were admittedly "star-struck" and raved about her contributions to her teams and how she excels at every facet of the game.  They brought up how rare it is for a player to have Best Server, Best Receiver, Best Spiker and Best Blocker accolades.
- She speaks about Tijana and her work ethic and humility
- She talks about burnout and the interviewers hint that going straight from the VNL to the World Champs may have been a factor for underperforming at the World Champs.  
- They discuss how Eczacibasi (the company) has helped with women's rights in Turkey
- A bit shocking: She may take next year off and she's been dealing with a small foot issue??
- There's an "inside joke" about Hill/Larson for beach in 2024
- Dream team: Zhu, Larson, Boskovic, Simge, Ognjenović, Rasic, Akinradewo // version 2 (players she's actually played on the same team with): substitute Maja Poljak for Rasic, and KYK for Zhu Ting 

Overall, a nice interview!  She came across very engaged and humble.

While I would want her to recover and return to playing it does make me wonder if she meant taking the year off with Eczacibasi or with the NT or BOTH? I think her spot is secure and would allow for some key development at the position to occur.

Just gave this a listen. Seems like she is thinking of taking the club season off after International competition in the summer, and just staying in California to work out and train to prepare for the Olympics.

But she said roster for Olympics team do not come out until 2-2.5 months before the Games.

Would be interesting to see her play beach though. I’ll root for her 🙂
She played in the Sand Volleyball Collegiate Championships with Sarah Pavan back in their Nebraska days.
