So long as Rutgers has its current VB facilities, who the coach is won’t matter. The B1G is the NFL of college volleyball. Rutger’s volleyball is operating in Pop Warner mode. Nebraska plays in front of +8000 fans every single home match and Rutgers plays home matches in front 200-300 fans. IOWA, Ohio State and Northwestern have new facilities. Rutgers plays matches in equivalent to a high school gym . . . in from of 158 fans. How can they compete? But hey, get rid of the coach, that will solve all the problems. . . Ay yi yi. . . The State of New Jersey has no money and alumni don't support volleyball. Life is tough in the Garden State.

It’s not good for any team in the B1G for Rutgers to be one of the worst D1 programs in the country. . . But this hire will do nothing to change that. It’s like taking a random 16 year-old who just passed his driving test and letting him drive in the Indy500. . . #0-20

B1G or not, Rutgers is not a good job, she is a decent coach with a decent resume.

They are being paid millions$$$ to do so, or to make strides toward being competitive. . . This isn’t a serious hire for a team in the best vb conference in America. . . This is an 0-20 hire. . . My question, and I am not being sarcastic, is how far into the 20s will Rutgers go before they win a conference match? 2022? 2026? This is sad at this point.

Rutgers is giving the B1G exactly what they expected. Football revenue for B1G network for the NY Metro Market.

It become a part of cable packages in the most densely populated states in the country. What's done is done. There may have been more qualified coaching candidates who were willing to come to NJ, but this is what the dept chose. Best of luck to her!
