Can confirm. The state system in WV barely tolerates the red-headed stepchildren they already have. If the powers-that-be had their way, WVU and Marshall would be the beginning and end of the state's university system. If Gordon Gee had his way, WVU would be the beginning and the end of the state's university system. Don't forget UCLA, the University of Concord Located at Athens. I heard that one of their math majors was actually accepted to Virginia Tech's graduate CS program. That tells me UCLA > (WVU or Marshall). "Aw, look at Concord, all grown up with their 2,000 students. How precious. We totally respect them as a sister institution within our state system. Now let me go down to Charleston and explain why WVU should get full funding while Concord's budget gets cut to ribbons." --Gordon Gee, probably.

Gordo and I have some....er...philosophical differences about the way our university should be run. Let's just leave it at that. Go 'eers! (Dear god I can't wait until I move out of WV).
