*bump*
Next week's Gstaad event not only awards a lot of points, but it's also the last push for teams to earn points to increase their ranking on the World Rankings list, because that Tuesday after, the top 15 teams will be seeded for this tournament in September.
SP/MHP will not be able to participate as they won World Champs a few hours ago.
From the looks of it (right now), ATeam should be representing the USA in the tournament. Only one team per country will be allowed to participate.

Could the USAV send 2S to this event? Summer should be better by then.

Could the USAV send 2S to this event? Summer should be better by then. They are still #2 among US teams in the world rankings, which is how the slot was awarded. So if ATeam doesn’t go maybe 2S would be next. But that’s a bit unfair to the teams currently above them in the Olympic rankings.

I wouldn't go if I were the A team. Why? there is no money and you pretty much are a lock to qualify. Just saying... How long before teams have to sign up?

ATeam might want to play in AVP Hawaii instead too. 🤷🏻♀️

If I am in Hughes camp I am going to try and get them in that tourney. If they are ranked #2 American team by the cut off I am going for it. Might be their ticket to the Olympics. Is it fair? Probably not but if your trying to make the Olympics then you are trying to make the Olympics.

Probably not but if your trying to make the Olympics then you are trying to make the Olympics. The cutoff would be next week. Not sure who’s #2 in the USA right now. I’m sure Sara wants to play, but Summer can’t. So who’s going to be her partner?

I think Summer will be better by September. If not obviously pick another team to replace them.

The 2S are the American #2 ranked in World rankings. So if the A team does not go it should be them.

The 2S are the American #2 ranked in World rankings. So if the A team does not go it should be them. Are they doing it based on World Rankings or Olympics rankings?

And the cutoff date has already happened. April and Alix won the spot for the USA based on their world ranking as of last week. Now USAV has until next week to decide who will go.
But to be fair, whoever they choose, they should promise that team an Olympic spot if they finish in the top two. Otherwise, nobody would want to go.
