In fact Ognjenovic mentioned something like they don't take CL seriously and they don't care about winning it... And that's exactly what she did not like it. Some other Russian teams even play some CL matches with their backups. Lmao. Weren’t you claiming that she was going to play a lower level team in Italy? Get your facts in order, or at least attempt to. To be fair, Carlini probably caught a good break here. She really was in a situation where she was at risk of ending up somewhere much worse.

I'm not sure if, leading up to the Olympics, players want to be on a top Italian team playing CL, CWChamps, going deep into the Cup and the playoffs. That's a lot of wear and tear, and probably why you saw a lot of players head to China (shorter season) or be on Conegliano where they sign enough players to sub out regularly. Turkey's a little different because almost no top players start full-time.
Not that spending a year crossing Siberia on Aeroflot is all that ideal for Carlini either though. At least being in Moscow helps the travel. I actually think a mid-level Italian team would probably be just right.

Fenerbahce would make sense. They are one of the top two clubs in the Turkish League that could afford her with Vakifbank being the other, but they already have Milena Rasic, Kubra Akman, and Zehra Gunes. Fenerbahce only has Eda Erdem that could compete against top level teams, their other middles Bahar and Dicle aren't as good in my opinion.

Naz Robinson Mihajlović Akinradewo Erdem Vargas The 4 foreigners wouldn't all be on the court at the same time during regular season matches but they would be quite formidable in champions league I just want our girls to remain healthy leading up the OG! Any news on where Larson is going? I heard a rumor she might take this year off?!

Jordan is going to play in Shanghai I that the Club Kelly Murphy played in last season? Yup. And Kim played in Shanghai the year before. Chinese tv commentators once publicly announced Shanghai paid $800k to Kim, so Larson should be good even if no other team can match her paycheck in Turkey

She's probably done with indoor after Tokyo. Not sure if coaching or beach is next.

huskerjen - Will Larson come back to NE after her indoor playing days are finished? She seems pretty happy in CA when time permits. So does she help with Pepperdine on the men's side or play beach with maybe a shot at another Olympics?

huskerjen - Will Larson come back to NE after her indoor playing days are finished? She seems pretty happy in CA when time permits. So does she help with Pepperdine on the men's side or play beach with maybe a shot at another Olympics? No idea. Cook told her that she has an open invitation to join the program whenever she wants. Assuming there isn't an open AC spot, it would be as a volunteer assistant (no issue there since her playing career has been quite lucrative). I assume if she did a good enough job and wanted to make it a career, she'd be in line for an AC spot if/when Reyes or Banwarth moved on. However, I think it's difficult for some successful athletes to move on from playing and Jordan might try beach to extend her career. She has the skill set and it's a more forgiving game that doesn't have quite the same premium on having young fresh legs. We'll see. I do think coaching is in her future, I just don't know when or where.
