DYKSTRA/HOUSE FLINT/DAY HUGHES/SUMMER KLINEMAN/ROSS LARSEN/STOCKMAN REEVES/HOWARD SPONCIL/CLAES SWEAT/WALSH JENNINGS WOPAT/HOCHEVAR
Overlaps with Austin
Expect 3 MD and 1 Q for this.
WOPAT/HOCHEVAR and DYKSTRA/HOUSE are also signed up for the Turkey 2* same weekend if they don't make it out of the CQ for this.
3 teams could end up in Austin, who don't play in Brazil or Turkey.

Oh my. Women’s field is going to be so empty in Austin. AVP may take a little hit if Kerri keeps playing well. Her success would mean that the top teams would have to play more often to make sure she doesnt pass them

But I assume teams can still drop Itapema after Xiamen next week.

If I remember correctly, last year teams that lost in the Itapema qualifiers still were able to fly back to Austin in time for the AVP main draw.

If she doesn't make it through the CQ will make it interesting, do they play avp?

If she doesn't make it through the CQ will make it interesting, do they play avp? Kicking out a Larsen/Stockman or Flint/Day and sending them back to the AVP wont have nearly the effect of forcing April/Alix to play an extra FIVB or two. Of course either is dependent on Kerri/Brooke upping their game

9 teams in total. When they do the seeding again in two weeks, Wopat/Hochevar and House/Dykstra will drop again due to lack of points. Even then, that’s still 4 teams fighting in CQ to get into Q.

MD: 4 Klineman/Ross 7 Hughes/Summer 10 Larsen/Stockman
Qualifiers: Q7 Wopat/Hochevar (QWC)
CQ: Flint/Day Claes/Sponcil KWJ/Sweat
AP/Rebecca won in Xiamen but they’re back in qualifiers because seeding occurs 3 weeks before the event.
McNamara twins got one of the WC for the MD.

Looks like Reeves/Howard dropped out of this one. If they don’t plan on playing in lower star events to get some points, they might as well just focus on the domestic events and play some NORCECAs.
