The difference is Reid and Casebeer were signed up in advance. These two are not, they will not be flying back and getting in due to a favor. Someone must have told them not to sign up for Austin if they were playing Brazil.

Yeah, it probably would have been smart for Claes and Sponcil to hedge their bets and register. I guess they were feeling confident.

That looks like a surprisingly easy win for KWJ and Brooke, but maybe not so surprising since it’s definitely a big step up in level for Sponcil compared to college ball. Is there any chance Claes and Sponcil can come back and play the Austin AVP? Sponcil has some amazing talent, but she also has some HUGE expectations from her debut at last year's AVP Austin. Must be some rust from not having played together but 14 and 12 is a beating. Kerri and Brooke are posting some awesome wins. (Still have a dangerous quali though) How many times do they have to post wins like this before one of the Saras realizes that Kerri didnt luck into those 193 wins?

Brooke could play herself out of a job? If her and Kerri finish well enough to be in Oly contention, does Kerri think she can upgrade?

These extra matches (although might be hard on their bodies) is giving them actual game experience.

Kelly & Sarah have been training with Brazilians best for the last week+. Was expecting a much closer match. Kelly really is no match for KWJ at the net.

Luckily for Sponcil and Claes they are already automatically in the MD of the next two 4* events in Jinjiang and Ostrava. KWJ/Sweat are in the qualifiers and CQ respectively for the next two events.

For those asking, Stafford Slick live-streamed the CQ match on IG. There are 19 hours left to view it.

I have been wrong before but she will stick with Brooke, win or lose.

Qualification schedule is out. WoHo plays at 9:10AM EST against Japan and KWJ/BS plays at 10AM against Colombia. I say both teams will make the MD. Remember what you said about jinxing?? 😂😂

Now it’s down to 16.
