The East Coast Championships can get up to 3 bids. Issue is that at this point there are not enough teams to give out 3 bids? Also, there are about 6 teams already qualified and they can only drop down so far to give out a bid. I think there are a couple of teams with USA bids that might stay USA. OCVC and Pulse look like they are playing in USA division. I guess no other teams will get at large bids? Or do they try to get to 42 after the results from the East Coast Tourney?

Looks like they expanded the number of teams in the USA division to accommodate the teams that competed in Open bid tournaments.

Emails went out today for Open at larges. I also have a team that was "accepted" into USA but never received an email on them so not sure if USA bids are final or if they are waiting on open teams first.

The bid(s) can trickle down to 6th place. LVC and Niagara have USA bids, would they accept an open bid or stay in the USA division? Doubtful the remaining 6 teams would be in the top 6 there, so probably no bids given out?

Have you checked AES? There are 39 teams listed as "accepted" and only 35 teams listed as earning bids on the spreadsheet. Weird, now there are 35 teams as "accepted". The 4 at large are listed, but now Adversity, Austin Jrs. MVP and First Capitol are no longer listed.

It is possible the clubs dropped maybe?? 18s can be tricky because of graduation and players deciding not to travel to nationals maybe?? I think last year some clubs declined their bids for that reason. But that is just a guess.

Below are the at large for the open divisions. 3 spots look to remain for 18 Open.
Closing the loop on the AES "accepted" issue, two of the teams in 15's that were "accepted" did not earn at large. (Wave and MKE Sting).

Meanwhile, If Lockport was given an open bid chance, 75% most likely their just going to keep the USA bid but wouldn’t be shocked that they would accept an Open Bid. They have the unit to do accomplish the Open bid but it all relies on the maturity of their setters.

Hopefully they do but that would be a huge bummer.
