Seems like admin has his back...tough to make a reasonable opinion with one article that is from only one side of the story
Not saying that he is right or wrong or the athletes are crying wolf, but in the midst of a tough season, anyone could easily get frustrated, players and coaches and make some comments or actions that are regrettable.
Sounds like some unsavory coaching coupled with frustrated athletes who are under a lot of pressure academically I am sure at an Ivy League school. The truth is somewhere in the middle.
My biggest concern is that it seems like girls are crying out for help about mental health issues and coach isn't receiving that well....I wish there were more specific details on this part in the article

My point was that the players did go thru the appropriate channels and received nothing back from the administration but silence. Either way there was supposed to be some kind of response, whether it was in the players’ favor or not. This isnt true. Members of the admin met with some of them at different times and monitored practices. What they didn't receive from the admin was what they demanded but thats not the same as saying they received silence. I missed that part. Was it in the article?

Yes, it says that admin were present at practices. Through the grievance process, the second step is an informal resolution with sports admin...to me this means meeting with athletes involved... it also says there were group session with the entire team and one-on-one meetings with mediators and athletes.

Maybe in the Penn article but not the Deadpsin one as much?

Coach had some success at Merchant Marine, where he had a couple winning seasons (although the program has improved since he moved on) and utter misery at Smith. That's not the strongest program, but he had the lowest winning percentage in program history to that point. How does that get you job security in the Ivy League?

Penn is in Philly....follow the Sixers methodology -- trust the process ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
