What is so phucked up is that every remembers the allegation. They will forget or not even hear when the person is vindicated. His rep is already somewhat ruined even if they find no wrong doing. Phucked up this all is.smh

True....but it did rule out who I thought it was. Ditto. I had one particular name in mind as soon as I learned about the Magnum/UH connection, which the article now says has nothing to do with any former UH player. MB?

this just in
"the AVCA has announced that they are a bunch of spineless idiots. AVCA President said that while it was always withheld internally that we are basically spineless, we felt that it was imperative to come out of the closest and publicly acknowledge it. We are sorry if we offended one by this announcement, because the primary goal of any organization today is to not offend anyone"

Looking more and more like fake news every day. Bad news sells papers, often times the content is sensationalized and filled with half truths or inaccuracies. The damage to the innocent party is their good name and reputation. If the investigation ends the way I think it will, these sources should be reprimanded and required to rescind their rubbish and issue a public apology to the affected party in the same manner in which it was published or announced. Unbelievable.

Coach Wade and his party should counterfile a libel case against the parties involved, particularly the OCR reporter who failed to gather substantial and reliable information before publishing the news. The accuser also needs to be liable of any damage she has done, if it was indeed a false allegation. I’ve read somewhere that she was mentally not there, had nervous breakdowns, struggling with her marriage, and had history of either drug or alcohol use(abuse)?

So basically Wade was voted COY but they don’t want to give him the award days after a sexual misconduct scandal gets public attention. So I guess they just aren’t going announce it anytime soon. Wade has to have won because if anyone else won, there would be no need to delay or make this announcement. AVCA is dumb for this, they basically just said he won while making an announcement saying nobody has won. Not really true. If they gave the award to Knipe, there would be insinuations that this article affected Wade’s candidacy. By making an announcement that voting will not occur until after the investigation, they’re attempting to protect the prestige of the award.

Michael Green is a very aggressive attorney. I'm sure they are already talking about doing something like this.

You're doing exactly what you claim the reporter and complainant are doing. No one here knows exactly what is in the complaint, only that one exists. What is clear is that the investigation is taking much too long.

I refuse to get caught up in this media grabbing fishing distraction so close to the NCAA Tournament. Sounds like a bunch of garbage to me. Why bring up something that happened in the 90's as one poster said. If it was so scandalous it should have been dealt with swiftly at that time. It's just an unnecessary distraction at this time so close to the dance. JMO.

That should be made clear. Wade has strongly denied it, and , according to news reports there were witnesses, former team mates, who said whatever is alleged didn't happen and she is making it up. Sadly it sounds like this women has a troubled personal life. Regardless It would be in everyone's best interest if SafeSport could bring this long, strung out investigation to a conclusion.

Sounds like this woman needs attention and has serious issues and is just now using this to get it. I find it strange that it would come up at this crucial time when everyone is preparing for the tournament. Sad she's trying ruin someone's reputation and career by spreading lies (if they are that) because she has PTSD or whatever she wants to call it. Again, really unnecessary at this time for everyone.
