Someone is trying to find a way to nullify the potential National Championship title!

I suspect one of the two players that transferred out may be tied into this somehow. The timing of (according to volleyguy) "the interim suspension was effective 9/5/2018" seems to be right around the time it was made public of the two players transferring to UCLA. Actually it was known (at least in Austin's case) that he was transferring to UCLA much earlier than that - June 26. Don't start rumours!! A quick search showed that Rattray was also known then as well. I'm not starting any rumors. And IMO, June 26 I do consider it being around the time of the interim suspension was effective at. Now you may interpret a little more than 2 months as being a long period of time, I sure don't.

I have my own guesses but that's all they would be -- guesses -- based on what I know of Wade and what he's likely capable of. I suspect one of the two players that transferred out may be tied into this somehow. The timing of (according to volleyguy) "the interim suspension was effective 9/5/2018" seems to be right around the time it was made public of the two players transferring to UCLA. Just to be clear, that information is according to the USAV website, not me. I don't know anything about the situation.

Note: I am NOT saying that something similar happened here. But don't kid yourself into thinking that if Hawaii did not act then clearly it's not something major. College athletics is filled with corruption that the schools turn a blind eye to (or straight up cover up). Look no further than Penn State football, Michigan State gymnastics, etc. Then there's the paying of players going on in basketball (Arizona, LSU, Kansas, etc.). And these are just the blatant, proven examples. I have NO idea what the investigation is about, it could be absolutely nothing at all, and hopefully it is. But Hawaii not acting on this says absolutely nothing about the nature of whatever it may be or however serious it may be.

Are you saying Wade is homophobic? Where did that come from? That's out of left field.

I don't think the author is trying to invalidate a national championship from Hawaii or Long Beach State. He even stated in the article about Touzinsky, and again in the updated piece, that Long Beach State did not know about the allegations or investigation until recently. Looking at the author's twitter account it looks like he is looking to see if SafeSport is doing its job and trying to find why there is a disconnect between the USOC and the NCAA.

Are you saying Wade is homophobic? Where did that come from? That's out of left field. Was that post deleted? can't find it. Presumptive huh? There have been multiple players on the roster for Hawaii that are part of the LGBTQ community. It's no one's business but their own.

It’s just so timely that a year old investigation has resurfaced only now that these two teams are the hottest in the nation and would potentially win the title. Is it to try to distract the players and the coaching staff?

Is it to try to distract the players and the coaching staff? true that but that's just modern social media at work no surprise, hey Trump boinked playboy bunnies and porn stars, but no one cared until it was fitting for (fill in the blank) to play the 'gotcha' game, like cmon was anybody for or against the guy really surprised and really indignant (be honest about it) that he was boinking playboy bunnies and porn starts lol - and I'm not trying to make a political statement or a statement about anything but social media; just that the timing/forums of when people go after others (justified or not) is often predicated on .............well, timing.
