Who is Sydney Rau-Kim? Is she a 2020 or 2021 commit?

Now that indoor season is over, who are we gonna see on the sand? I know it's been mentioned before but here are my guesses:
Brooke Van Sickle (one of the reasons she chose UH sooo yeaaah) Hanna Hellvig (literally a stud on beach so yeahhh) Riley Wagoner (will improve her overall game so can't see why not) Norene Iosia (there's no way you can keep a player with that VBALL IQ off the sand and we saw flashes during indoor with her amazing cuts) Tiffany Westerberg (I guess this is more of a wish but I would REALLY like this cause it would help with her lateral movement on the slide a la Emily Maglio)

It's been reported from Luis Van Sickle, Hellvig, and Iosia are for sure. Possibly Wagoner as well.
Westerberg might benefit from beach to improve her all-around game if she is going to moved to the outside.
Rasmussen would do well on the Beach too, but I dunno. I suppose it would be best for her to just maintain her health for Fall 2020, and then I think if she wanted to play Beach, she'd have two years.

Some of it looked telegraphed. She did hit that slide in the final set against Nebraska, although it was late in the match. Even if she does not make the top flights getting reps in the sand would be beneficial.
I want to see Wagoner succeed (like most players) especially her hitting, she has good form and I've seen her hit some good balls when she had the chance but as someone mentioned in the indoor board she needs to work on her vision.

Choy played beach at Utah too and I think she was in one of the top flights for them lol. She might not want to because I think she has another year of school but she and Iosia should play. I selfishly want Igiede, Rasmussen and Wagoner to play as well but I also think it’s important to not use beach as another training season for indoor and give the beach players the reps they deserve. I definitely Wagoner could use the beach—a lot of her hitting errors were on beach type shots. I actually she has good vision — it’s her execution that’s the issue right now.
Beach team is stacked—they might be #2 after UCLA.

Jeff Hall is not going to take that many indoor players. I believe that he will take those that can help the team win. He will not allow players who have no chance to play to take up space and waste his time.
When he was both the indoor associate coach and the beach HC, he had reasons to put a lot of indoor players on the beach team. Now his primary focus is beach so he will focus on using his own players. Of course, if talented beach players like BVS, Norene and Hanna want to join, it would be foolish to not give them a chance.

Angel was able to join the team as a practice player who never saw the court even on her senior year.
I think BVS, HH, and RW are sure to join. NI might join if she’s really needed just like last year. JR might not join to focus on indoors.
I might see a graduate transfer in Ross.

I don’t think Jolie Rasmussen needs the beach game other than for the pure love of the sport. She already has all the skills and great court vision. She just needs to stay healthy and injury free, which is quite a challenge for her.

I feel that there will be a lot of deserving players fighting for playing time b/c of the talent overload on this year's roster.

Sure Angel was able to join but I don't think there were a bunch of indoor players that went out for beach that year like will be coming out for this year so taking in Angel was not that much of a problem. She was also a lefty and she could have provided some help to the team in practice in case the team face other lefties. Only Angel and Norene crossed over last season. Maglio was finished with her indoor the previous year and came back for beach only since she had one year left of beach. With this year beach team loaded with big shots beach players and proven beach/indoor players like BVS, Hanna and even Norene coming in, the others coming out(like Riley Wagoner or Tiff or Braelyn) would IMHO be "wasting space". There is just not enough room for all and Jeff Hall have said that he will eventually go with beach only players. Again...if players like Hanna, BVS and Norene wants in, Hall will give them a shot. The six flights seems to be doing great. Maybe only spots might be iffy are Sophia Russo and maybe Regan Hurkett's ones. I don't think too many indoor players will beat out the other flights so essentially the 3 indoor players coming in would be in a battle for two spots.

The only 3 crossing over is Norene (partnered with Kekauoha), Hanna, and Brooke. Amber, Akana, Riley, and Tiff said they were not going to play Beach

According to Cindy, Iosia is the only player from the indoor team who is sure to join, and it is likely that we will see BVS and Hellvig on the beach as well. I don't think she mentioned anything about Wagoner, but it would be nice to see her on the beach as well (and it seems possible with what Koa is saying).

So, remind me again...
If an indoor player wants to play beach, she would have to still fulfill indoor practice hours (w/ Ah Mow) as well as beach hours (w/ Hall)? Did Maglio and Taylor do this?
Also, what exactly are the requirements for an indoor vb player in the Spring? Is it 20 hours per week until end of March? I assume open gym is for after spring season and into summer until Fall 2-a-days?

Yes you still had both and Indoor was still a priority.
Remember a few of the girls played in a tournament on Sunday and then had to play in the indoor spring game that night too.
Hawaii Indoor has no true setters on the roster right now for Spring. (BVS was the emergency setter) So they might still borrow Iosia/Choy for practices in the spring...
