Morgan Martin and Julia Scoles are playing together in the NYC AVP (qualifier). Will they be paired together next season?

She had a signature and historic win for UH at the No. 5 court her freshman year with Zalapony against FSU to clinch the 3-2. Nice to read such nice words about the state, but of course, not much to say about the program, coaching staff and teammates.

I was late to find out, but is it true that Granato will be playing for Utah beach for her grad degree?

I knew she was thinking about it. She was trying to decide between going pro in indoor, playing beach at Utah and all while trying to figure out if her shoulder was okay. I hadn't heard what the final outcome was, but I guess you've heard it is Utah after all?

Would she be guaranteed to be on one of the flights at Utah? Is that what sealed the deal? I don't think she would've had a chance at UH.

Their roster contains a lot of indoor crossovers with limited beach experience (as they are one of the bottom beach programs in the PAC12), and I think will Granato's overall game indoor, she can make it into one of the top flights. If she goes to Utah for beach, she will also get to work on her beach game during the Fall (when the indoor crossovers are playing), so I think she will be ready come beach season. I do think Granato could have played in at least the 6th flight at UH, but I am not entirely sure if she could have been ready to contribute at the 5th flight.

She also put on IG that she was going to Utah for grad school and to continue with vb.

Martin and Scoles go 1-1 in the AVP NYC open, and although I didn’t get to see them play, I think that’s awesome that they managed to secure a win, especially since they weren’t paired together earlier this past season! I hope we get to see this pairing at flight #1 next season! 😁
