So it looks like if there are big changes on the women’s side, we won’t see them in this tournament.

What does the * mean on some of the women's name on the AVP site? It's for Maternity or injury points from 2017. They were out in 2018.

Watch out for Cannon and Pollock. If Cannon can recreate the magic she had with Sponcil last year in Chicago they could be a dark horse to win.

Predictions: 1. Flint/Day 2. Howard/Reeves 3. Claes/Sponcil 3. Dowdy/Quiggle Don’t think Claes/Sponcil are entered. Unless they’ll be allowed in at the last minute if they lose their CQ in Brazil.

Woops, just assumed based on JB Southpaw s list. They better be allowed back in, otherwise this is one of the weakest fields since KVZ won

My underdog pick to make the Final is Cook/Pardon. This is based on nothing more than watching them play together in Huntington, seeing their excellent body language and symmetry, and my happiness for Cook, even though I love Katie Spieler, that she might now have a partner who allows her to break through a bit. Wish I could be in Austin - someone please give us a live report, OK?

They better be allowed back in, otherwise this is one of the weakest fields since KVZ won I did note above the list that they hand't registered. I did that list on Thurs, before the list was final. beavis you'd think that Flint/Day would be heavy favorites for this weekend, but I think it's open. Day/Flint only won 1 match in Huntington in 2 sets, they got pushed to 3 by Cook/Pardon & Foni/Martin. I count 5 teams for sure with legit shot to win, plus 2 more that wouldn't surprise me.
