Dalcena currently down 2-6...
Taylor got an ace. Phil hit into the net and Nick also hit into the net. Momentum has shifted.

And Gibb/Crabb ends Dalcena’s win streak in Austin.
That jumbo shot by Taylor in Set 2 that Nick thought was out really threw them off. They could’ve tied it at 20-20.

Well Phil did get two blocks to go 13-14 but transition plan and Gibb/Crabb sealed the deal at 15-13.
Gibb/Crabb leads the head to head matchups now 5-3 (domestic and international counted)

I hate that they serve Jake! Serve crabb and they win!! I keep saying it whole match and finally at the end they did and had 2 blocks and nick digs next one to tie it at 14/14 🤷♂️

Incredible that Jake served a lollipop to Phil at match point. Phil had two swings to side out and Jake with a couple soft blocks giving Taylor the transition swing to end it.

We can only hope this early exit fires them up for Jinjiang next week. They do need international points. And then they’ll have a week off followed by a 9 week stretch of events.

I don't want to hear any nonsense about Dalcena, they were beaten, didn't lose it, these two teams are clearly as equal as it gets right now. Taylor the difference by tiny margin.

I just think Jake crabb match up evenly against Phil/nick but internationally Phil/nick is better by a little bit

Whoever mentioned Field and Bomgren get no service pressure is spot on, neither is consistently strong from the line. Timmy is especially average, both need to be hammering jumpers over and over in practice. Both should develop better jump floaters with more float, Field hits that lame cut float to his right, has no movement.

That semifinal could’ve been the finals match.

I think USA mens has a new #1. Let's see what happens internationally.
