Interesting pairing from the qualifier...Camacho and Palm? Covered in Austin qualifier thread.

Does anyone know about Avery's sudden change from coaching this upcoming weekend to playing? I'd assume Mira Costa is still playoff bound.

Actually looks like MC lost, probably entered in case his team lost, had they won, Avery drops.

Watching film from HB. I can’t imagine that Piotr doesn’t stay awake all night every night contemplating whether it’s better to actually have a partner that can side out (Zaun) with a ton of headaches or another that can’t to save his life (Frish) and have tranquility. No way this partnership keeps going unless this has just become a hobby for both parties which in the case of Frish it might as well be. Guy has no sideout or finishing tools and gets irregular on serve receive way more than he should.
Piotr should call our boy Beranek or my personal boy Loomis while he still can.

I agree on both EB and Ty being stronger but don't forget, Piotr living in Florida brings his value down. I personally think he's good enough to made it work but many players might be turned off by this fact. Also, good call on Chase spraying more serves than he should. He's been in decline for some time now. Not being able to train with a partner won't help that out.

Also saw him watching his ex play with Ed, was looking like a forlorn lover looks at the woman he used to hold.

Actually looks like MC lost, probably entered in case his team lost, had they won, Avery drops. #3 Mira Costa as the Runner-Up made the SoCal Regional State playoffs and will play #6-seed Westview tomorrow night (Tuesday) and will likely advance to play #2 Palisades (aka Team Partains) on Thursday night. If they win Thursday, then they play for the SoCal Regional Championship Saturday 5/18. FYI, Avery also has Brad Lawson (Stanford) on staff as well at MC.

What is Chase doing on the left? Was that his choice? I never understand teams who put the weaker sideout player where they are least comfortable.

Piotr clearly demands he play right no matter the partner. They try to get Chase back right with back sets but he's definitely not as potent left versus right.

I think this tournament will indeed be last for them as a team.

So he got permission to cover the AVP or are we expecting his name to be removed from the Q in the next 24 hours?
