I’d bring Ogbogu/Washington/Rettke over Gibbemeyer/Adams/Dixon Well yeah I would too but... Hmm. Gibby, Dixon, and Adams are next in line to join Kingdon, the way I see it. It’ll be interesting to see how the next few weeks shake up, and how we’ll go about finishing this tournament.

I would swap out one of the middles for Rettke just so I can see that Rettke/Poulter connection some more. In my opinion, Rettke is the future, she is 2024 (regardless of the argument she should be 2020, table that for a second). Rettke is worth bringing on every single roster she’s available the rest of the league just for experience alone. Washington and Ogbogu are probably fighting for one 2020 spot, and I don’t think we need to see them on every roster here on out. I say let them both play this last match and showcase who’s going to be more valuable investing in. One stays on the VNL roster, the other gains experience in the Cup/Games whatever else is going on. So, this very next match against Bulgaria determines the path for Washington and Ogbogu on who is more valuable investing in? What? How does that make sense? Some of y'all place so much importance on how a particular player performs during one single game. USWNT is keeping stats, I'm sure, on every touch, every play, etc. These games are for development and information gathering purposes that notices trends on a player's performance. A player's performance should be judged in totality, rather than a performance in one single match.

My only concern about Washington is her health (i.e., knees).

The match against Bulgaria should not be the make/break for the other four VNL rosters. It isn't a "showcase" for anyone. It's Bulgaria. Also, every travel roster for the VNL is already decided, barring any emergencies (on-court or otherwise).

I would be a bad teammate, because I’m looking forward to Italy, Dominican Rep. & Serbia instead of playing the games one-at-a-time.

My ideal lineup is:
Poulter/Thompson Foecke/Lee Rettke/Tapp (I like Tapp's energy) Lake
What I think the lineup will actually be:
Poulter/Drews Parsons/Lee Rettke/Ogbogu Courtney

Bulgaria has three players with the last name Dimitrova on the team. Anybody know if they're related? Or is that the Bulgarian version of 'Smith'?
There are also two Todorovas. Their starting seven only has four different surnames.
