Marquette sweeps at Nova. First two sets were very competitive (25-22) and neck-and-neck in both. Marquette was in control for the third. Respectable

I’m going to ask that anyone posting a result also post a link to the box score. Be nice to click through and BE games mostly don’t have their own thread. Anybody else interested in that?

I watched some of this match on Big East TV and I couldn't see or hear a single fan. There were loud echos of court noise in the broadcast. I don't believe that there were even the announced 137 in attendance.

I don't believe that there were even the announced 137 in attendance. Nobody sits on the far side, they usually get a decent student turnout on the near side and end line. The broadcast I saw was terrible, kept freezing on us. When it did work the commentary was good and camera good except for the long distance full court shots. I was told afterwards I should have watched on the youtube link.

Marquette swept Georgetown -15, -10, -17. Tough match. Rens was mixing it up on the floor with the hitters (Wertzberger and Kelly both substituted in for Barbosa), but setting remains an issue. Rens replaced Plutnicki with 5’7” freshman setter Ellie Watkins for a few rotations in the last set. Watkins had 5 assists to Plutnicki’s 16 total assists. Still puzzled why Pivonka, the junior setter who took the Hoyas to fourth place last season, is standing on the sidelines match after match. Like to see her on the floor with Wilhite sisters, Vujosevic, Wertzberger/Kelly and Barbosa in the back row. stats.statbroadcast.com/mobile/?id=265605

Nova defends home court over DePaul 3-1. Match was streaky - only last set was really close and Nova had to come back from 17-21 in fourth set to win 26-24. Sorry eldorado, but I can’t provide a link to stats because fricking live stats didn’t work the entire match. Edit: villanova.com/boxscore.aspx?id=11909&path=wvball
