OMG! Don’t give me a heart attack! well, she’s likely going somewhere to play beach cause she didn’t play beach for Stanford last year - which gives her two years of beach eligibility left. Her options are USC, Pepperdine, UCLA, Hawaii, FSU and maybe CalPoly if she wants a shot at a national championship. She’s already used to Cardinal - now just add some Gold ✌️ I would think her primary option is going to be playing professionally indoors.

But if she has graduate school aspirations, beach is a great option. She was A1 beach before she attended Stanford.

I've heard she will commit to indoors, is thinking about beach but will really consider what type of indoor options she will have when she graduates. I personally do not think she will play beach again in college.

I personally do not think she will play beach again in college. I strongly believe she will not play beach as a graduate student. I suppose she is keeping her options open. I think though, if she stays healthy, that she will play professionally indoors instead (at least for a couple of years).

I thought Peri was a Sophomore going into the 2019 season before her injury? Trojans are getting a transfer in Dreeuws from UH. Does she even have a chance to crack the top 5 flights? Or was this more of a “well, at least I’m getting a usc degree out of this”? It will be interesting considering the coaching change if Paige will start. USC will be bringing on the Nourse twins, Kyla Doig and Haley's sister Harper. What does the rest of the roster look like with the departure of Graudina, Bustamante, Cannon, Poletto etc.?

I wouldn't think she came to USC with the intention of playing only 1 year. I was told she really liked it here, and certainly was rewarded with a lot of recognition for her skill. It will be interesting to see who partners with her when she does return. A great recruiting tool to offer potential players/transfers.

FYI - Word is that Tulane will announce their head coaching hire today. Source inside athletic department confirms hire is a male and that multiple leading female candidates withdrew their names from consideration after USC opened up. They can't all get it but one of them could have had Tulane...

Solid hire for Tulane. Eyal is a good guy, knows beach and coaching in general at a D1 level.

Will Graudina ever really be back? Hope not , go be a pro Tina. Here's the problem with that... there is no Latvian partner good enough to help her make a living of playing volleyball. I suppose she could get a little sponsorship even if her average finish is 9th or lower, but not much. This just isn't like the old AVP days where a playing pair didn't have to be countrymates. When you stop to think about it, the FIVB is destroying freedom by requiring players to be from the same country. This means that players not from the USA, Brazil or Germany and maybe Russia and the Netherlands have a real problem finding a partner of equal ability. Look at Menengatti... a really great defender with no blockers of her quality. Same for Graudina. Imagine if there were a Korean of the ability of Hughes or Sponcil who wants to play pro beach... can't do it without a suitable partner. Why should pro volleyball have to be restricted to players of the same citizenship? That's just nuts.

Tina has dual citizenship=Latvian and USA- but FIVB would make her sit 2 years before she could play with a USA partner and the respective countries have to agree
