Add to that the difficult to explain up and down results when playing Beach at Stanford. Some of that was due to lingering injuries. Which is (at least in part) why she largely stopped playing beach to concentrate on indoor.

I find it amazing that indoor coaches are still getting away with the “ beach game is injuring my players “ line of malarkey. Ask any indoor OH / RS that goes on from college into pros how their knees and shoulders feel . Add her body type in those European Club gyms. A 15 yr run on the beach as an elite beach athlete hanging out on the beaches of the world.

But she did have a nagging injury in the spring of 2018, which is why she quit playing beach. She needed to heal.
Yes, beach is less likely to result in injury than indoor. But right now indoor is her priority.

Plummer is going to play beach at USC? That’s going to happen about the same time monkeys start flying out of my butt.

Tina G. won Gold at CEV Championships. I'm going to assume that, given she has qualified for Tokyo, her Federation will want her playing FIVB leading up to Tokyo, and not college beach. Who would have thought that Tina would qualify for Tokyo before Claes or Hughes? The European championship gold is not an automatic Tokyo qualifier. The 600 team points are just shy of the 640 for a bronze finish at a 4 star FIVB. Same as 1st place at a 3 star event. It stabilises Tina G's position on the cusp - and most likely qualifying.

my bad ... I confused this with the European Olympic Qualifying tournament similar to the NORCECA to be held June, 2020.

Anyone know if Anna is coaching, or has she really hung up her flip flops?

Stockham has decommitted. Indoor and Beach? I think so. I was alerted to an article in PrepVolleyball, but I do not have a subscription.

Stockham has decommitted. It’s official now? There were rumors floating around around a month ago. That’s a loss for USC, good player. I’d be willing to wager a small amount that she ends up across town.
