Tina is still on the roster... she’d slip into the 5s pair really easily to dominate the last month of the season without any involvement early on.

I would be surprised if any opposing coach allowed Graudina in the 5s without a challenge to the roster. Several years at 1s, and an Olympic berth in hand, she is not a 5s player.

No coach in the country would try to play Tina at the 5’s and think they could get away with it. OK, maybe Rita.

Slightly off topic, but UCLA Softball will have the same issue... their two best players made the USA Softball Olympic team, and will not participate this school year. And since the pitcher Garcia (also won POY) had already red shirted once, it's probably it for her at UCLA. It makes me wonder if Graudina will want to return to USC after the Olympics. The difference is Graudina is an underclassman so would possibly want to get her degree. Given her partner options with Latvia I'm not sure whether she could even make a living at Pro Beach on the FIVB. I would like to see her team with Abril B. on the pro circuit.

I think two years to play as a USA team.

She has citizenship in Latvia as well as the United States.
At this point she would have to wait 2 years if she chose to play for a country other than Latvia

2020 Class officially signed as expected. Talent on the squad should peak again when this class plays as FR. Might have an unbeatable Top 3 or 4 pairs by then, especially if Tina G.
