@offrope - dont presume please! I’m not meaning any disrespect by it, just asking a question for discussion purposes. Seems like every week they have one or two kids out, just thinking out loud. Could be a number of things of course.

I don't know what goes on in Tulane practices -- but I know that they run a more balanced offense than most anyone in D1. Sometimes Douglas will get a lot of swings but that is a result of poor ball control. Tulane prefers to spread the ball around at every possible opportunity, never letting one player have a monster night in kills or total attacks.

Heard concussions. Not sure how you train for that.
Houston has really been doing it with smoke and mirrors. Hope it continues.

Looks like I was on the money with Houston winning in 4. Tulane loses 28-30 to Tulsa in 4th. No Heidelberg or Hansel on the box score.
No other upsets.

LSU beat Tennessee, LSU could still end up as an at-large team and Top 50 in RPI. That would be a good win for Tulane. They're still kicking themselves for the Ole Miss loss. Tulane still has to play UCF and Cincinnati - either of those wins would get them right back in on it. They just cannot afford many more losses in conference. After last night's matches, Tulsa finds itself at #56 in RPI. SMU is #69. Tulane is #74, Houston is #93. Don't think Houston will get it done, but they could still go on a tear and find their RPI to get closer and closer to at-large territory.

Looks like I was on the money with Houston winning in 4. Tulane loses 28-30 to Tulsa in 4th. No Heidelberg or Hansel on the box score. No other upsets. Good job. Tulsa/Tulane was an exciting match, but sad that Tulane had 2 crucial players out. Tulsa's libero Horsfall is really something special. She made an improbably play on match point to save the match for Tulsa. Tulane made a late push. Their stud libero, Kaylie McHugh, had an ace to survive match point, but they just couldn't get it done. Heidelberg not only is one of the best defenders in the conference, she provides offense when needed. I hope Tulane can turn it around. THIS is why I am glad the AAC added a conference tournament.

Very interesting day in the AAC. Tulsa almost rallied back to push Houston to 5, but Houston remains the biggest surprise and they are undefeated in the AAC. Tulane rallied back in a crucial match at Wichita State. SMU won an important match against the East division, AT South Florida.

what is going on with USF. I know they are very young this this, but is Coach Draper in trouble?

Big win for Tulane tonight. I didn’t get a chance to look at box scores, I’m assuming that’s what a healthy Tulane team looks like? Very impressive win.

Heidelberg was back, but Erika Hansel is still out. Houston is really interesting. They're the only unbeaten team in AAC play now at 7-0. 7 of their last 9 matches have gone 5 sets, and they've won 6 of them.

The AAC west is dominating. Even Wichita St pushed UCF to the brink.
Don’t know how Houston is winning all these 5 setters by 2 points but they may break to totals records of every stat.
Tulane sweeping Cinci puts them in the title picture now. They held the great Jordan Thompson to 8 kills and a .061 hitting %!!
