I think the lower "A" tickets are a lot more than $100 donation, aren't they? I thought I heard $1500 for courtside? “A” section used to be more than “B” but I’m pretty sure that’s not the case anymore. I believe the black padded seats on the end are $2,000 plus the donation. I could be mistaken. I think B section seats are at least the the same price. I think they are actually better seats because are actual seat instead of a bench. My B seats are $50 donation but I know new seats in B are $100 but never see much for new tickets available in B section.

BC is still free. You can sit in any row of the accordion bleachers you like, heck, you can lie down if you want.

Tennessee: 30 bucks. The best part of being in the shadow of football and basketball is when it comes to seat selection and ticket pricing. The worst part is if volleyball suddenly gets popular, those big donors from football and basketball will be given all the best seats as soon as they start wanting them.

So, basically all of the programs that would love to just get some butts in seats, offer season tickets for under $100, and single match tickets for $10 or less. The few, mainly B1G, and also Hawaii, programs that fill all of their seats with demand for more space, charge a huge amount more, which goes as a "donation" to help the program. supply and demand. pretty basic economic principal. most programs don't have too big of a volleyball fanbase, so if they charge too much, the stands will be pretty empty. but if the program is lucky enough to have a decent fanbase, then charging more for tickets helps them to recoup more of the costs. many of the expenses of running a volleyball program are just as expensive as running a MBB program (scholarships/stipends, travel expenses, equipment, etc.) yet volleyball ticket prices are rarely as high as MBB ticket prices.
