Two big wins with major implications for final seeding. Can't wait to see how good the team will be once TVW & Gordon figure things out. I'm mighty surprised that no one is talking about CP's new BVB facility on campus and the enormous crowd in attendance. Not sure if we had 2.5K like LSU but there were lots of fans there. Great start ! Teams and their SID's better start tracking attendance because according to volleyballmag, Volleytalk is an authorized source for attendance numbers and records. That's either absurd or VT is more prestigious than I thought! The facility is amazing and it looks like there are more fans coming to their games because of it.

Ozee will always be a Bow. Transferring to a conference rival is never a good thing for the program left behind but life is about more than just volleyball. She’ll bring class to that Cal Poly program. I wish her well (outside of her matches against the Bows.)

This is the first time I’ve heard SLO referred to as a paradise. Although it is certainly a pleasant little college town.
But that grad program Ozee was accepted to - Quantitative Econ - is no joke. Good for her.

Good for her. I was trying to cut some slack for all you wahine fans that love living in humidity-for-all-seasons 80% of the time. San Luis Obispo, aka, "God's Country" will be a welcome change,...for sure. Born on the Islands and living there all her life,...Amy will enjoy her new home away from home. Ozee, must be not only very athletic, but, one shape "cookie".

I saw the stadium and it is a shame that the girls probably won't be able to practice on it anytime soon. Todd Rogers and that stadium are paradise. He has some great athletes coming back too. Gordon, Miric and more. They lost Van Winden but they have others that performed well last season.

I don't think of San Luis Obispo as "paradise" but it's very nice. Beautiful views of the hills, nice drive to the beaches, peaceful, and much better traffic (by 1000X) than Honolulu. You can also hike to Avila Beach. 1 But the entire area is kinda boring. There are some coastal towns nearby that are supposed to be "great" but I find them nice and pleasant but not "great" -- Pismo Beach, Cambria, San Simeon, 2 Morro Bay, Oceano. Nothing to do unless you like wineries, see, e.g., the film Sideways (2004), which is set in the Central Coast. 3 But, hey, at least you can concentrate on your studies. I have a house there. If you're into home-y stuff and some outdoor exercise in a peaceful environment, SLO is top-notch. But if you want nightlife and whatever reckless things the kids like to do these days, SLO is not for you. --- 1 You have to take the Bob Jones Trail. 2 San Simeon is home to the famous Hearst Castle. 3 It has some lengthy scenes in Solvang, CA, which is nearby. And some scenes showing them driving around next to wineries.
