Anyone get a chance to watch Jonah Seif? I watched him for a little bit in the qualifier last week and I think he has more potential than anyone else mentioned in this thread. He’s tall, long arms, athletic, and has all the skills. He’s a bit awkward on the sand right now but what indoor guy isn’t when they transition to the beach? been wondering too. He was a setter, so should have decent movement.

I've only seen Johnson once, at MHB when he and Austin pushed Rosenthal/Santos to the wall. He was the most effective player in that match, and had me seeing him as Phil-in-the-rough. Big range, good setting, lightning reflexes and the fastest hands I've seen in a long time. Teamed with an older, coaching player, he could turn into a beast.

Extremely raw, needs major refinement but his physical gifts are readily apparent.

Yes, both of them very much rookies, lost that match on rookie mistakes but those can be cured.

Teamed with an older, coaching player, he could turn into a beast. austin/johnson v loomis game is on amazon court 1 MBO replays. he was good but hit a lot of balls out and almost never hit shots... he is huge though and gets as vertical as anyone out there and should improve. his hands were pretty good, he made a lot of points and if austin could have converted and sideout better they may have won the match. If he learns to shot and improves blocking timing and technique against beach style hitting he will be one to watch.
