Without Googling (or using any resource other than your brain for that matter):
What is the northernmost state that does NOT share a [land] border with Canada?
For the record, the 5 question trivia that makes up most of this thread comes from Trivia Mafia.

I think I crossed into Canada from Vermont. Wisconsin? Idaho or South Dakota?

Vermont is not correct. Idaho and South Dakota are also not correct.
It is Wisconsin. I would have bet on Michigan, because of the UP, but it turns out there's an island that shares a border with Canada.

I crossed into Windsor from Detroit so just from that experience, I ruled Michigan out.

Yes. A land border. Michigan seemed like the obvious right answer until I blew up a map.

So, it’s Rhode Island then? I win! No. Massachusetts is north of RI. By no reading of the question (which was poorly worded) would RI be correct.

Huh...I thought Rhode Island was right below Maine and above Massachusetts. New England is such a mess.

On a side note, Minnesota wins the lower 48 distinction of northernmost state that shares a land border with Canada.
Woot!
Makes me think they added that pointy bit on purpose.

Wow, this TRIVIA thread has a very narrow and specialized scope.

Alaska: Most Northern, Most Western, Most Eastern (only state partially in the Eastern Hemisphere). Hawaii gets Most Southern.
