I knew he was a Vito. Don Vito Corleone, after all. Here's another one: What actor did Brando nix for the role of Sonny (rumor has it anyhow)? Burt Reynolds

This is correct. Also, I read that Reynolds was considered to be a Brando look-alike. I never noticed that. James Dean and Burt were both considered sort of knockoffs early in their careers. I think Burt especially in his native american role, wish I could remember which movie or tv show that was

Burt had several early roles where he played a "half-breed". He had one role in a "spaghetti western" that he took after Clint Eastwood had told him about this great director named Sergio. But Burt's role as the title character Navajo Joe was directed by Sergio Corbucci, not Sergio Leone.

Allow me to try a Godfather one. In the movie Johnny Fontaine - the Frank Sinatra character - is denied a part by a Hollywood executive - based on Harry Cohn head of Columbia pictures - for stealing the favors of a female starlet. Who was the actual starlet Sinatra stole from Cohn? According to this story, no one. www.americanmafia.com/Feature_Articles_214.html

Everyone knows Jesse Owens made history with his gold medal finish in the 100m at the 1936 Berlin Olympics and infuriated Adolph Hitler in the process.
1. Who came second in that 100m dash?
2. Did Hitler congratulate Owens after the 100m finish?
3. How many total gold medals did Owens win at the 1936 Olympics?

You know who else didn't congratulate Owens? FDR.

This is a nice piece of sports mythology, but it's not true at all. Hitler was thrilled with how the Olympics went. The Germans absolutely dominated the Games and Owens winning a couple of events did not derail his progaganda piece.

The Germans absolutely dominated the Games and Owens winning a couple of events did not derail his progaganda piece. It's not that simple. Hitler initially only congratulated German winners. When the IOC told him he had to congratulate all winners or none, he chose none. Albert Speer wrote that Hitler "was highly annoyed by the series of triumphs by the marvelous colored American runner, Jesse Owens. People whose antecedents came from the jungle were primitive, Hitler said with a shrug; their physiques were stronger than those of civilized whites and hence should be excluded from future games." However, multiple people claim to have seen Hitler shake Owens's hand. Owens himself, in later years, seemed to be more upset that FDR had snubbed him than he was bothered by anything Hitler did or did not do in 1936. Owens does not seem to have ever claimed Hitler shook his hand, but did say they had waved to each other.

Speer's writings are highly unreliable and there's little to no contemporary evidence from the German side that Jesse Owens bothered Hitler to any significant degree. Even in your questionable quote "Hitler said with a shrug." Did you just pull this from the Jesse Owens wikipedia?
