Also Piotr will be back, he'll take up a spot, Rafu is not playing this to my understanding. Piotr is back and playing with Burik.

Looks like Older (Marcus) Partain couldn't make it, Younger (Miles) Partain goes with Paul Lotman, and Ospina goes with Bruno. Interesting

I was watching his game against Ed on Friday night I believe and at one point Ed packed VDM partner Radde in the face pretty hard, Ed and Rafu came under net to see if he was ok and VDM just starts yelling at them to stay on their side of the net. While I don't know Ed personally and only met him once standing in line for food, from what is said on here and by the announcers he seems like an incredible guy and overall great role model. While on the other hand VDM just complained at his partner the whole match and just had an overall sh*t attitude. Just really resonated that Ed was trying to see if his Radde was OK and VDM was just a giant d*ck, before the second set started the mics picked up Radde telling Ed he appreciated him coming over and that wasn't him that wanted them away, even if he called him a Fuc*er a few times and Ed said he took it as a compliment. Is VDM always this big of a dick and that is why he keeps moving around partners? Definitely a little man syndrome attitude/mind set. Never played DR in anything other than for fun. More on the quiet side when we played, but he was always nice to me at least.

Used to like Burik a lot - he had a nice little run with Hudson Bates a few years back - what ever happened to that dude? Anyway, we'll never forget what he did to nice guy Russ Marchewka in New Orleans. It was cold and rainy down there, but we made the trip anyway and had a great time eating crawfish (one of the coolest things I've ever seen at an AVP tournament - they hired this guy to cook up this huge vat (I'm talking a couple of hundred gallons) of free crawfish stew that the fans were feasting on) - he even showed us northern idiots how to eat the crawfish! Anyhow, Burik and Marchewka beat some really good teams to make it to Sunday, but then the dillwad left Marchewka high and dry (due to some previous bull#!&% playing/travel commitment) and they had to forfeit their Sunday match. One of the few times Marchewka (and Burik) could have actually won a regular AVP tournament, and Burik bails out. Ever since then I can't even watch that dude, and I'm super glad that he has not had very much success - does that make me a bad person? HA!

I didn’t even know he made a Sunday. But I’ve never really cared for Burik. Seems very full of himself. I could be wrong, he might be the nicest guy ever. But I doubt that.

will brunsting play full time defense? Neither one of those guys is a dominant blocker, should split no question.

Brunsting satterfield will be around the 15th seed. They may be a quali team. That should be interesting.

They beat the Crabb bros, Mayer and Dougherty, and Sluck and Allen too. And Burik had to leave yo get to China for FIVB. That same year he played FIVB with Slick, Bourne, Kolinske, and Lorenz when he had points and was one of the mid level MD blockers before his injury. Pretty crazy he had a summer like that and then early 2018 was looking like a permanent qualifier player. And Burik is totally into himself from what I hear

I think they were low MD only because the lack of depth but with this new wave of guys might now be a quali level player.
