An A10 thread? I love it!
This conference has been a two horse race between Dayton and VCU for a few years now. It's hard to pick against the Flyers, 66-4 in the conference over the last 5 seasons. But three of those losses came against VCU who have had their number recently. The last two tournament championship matches were 5 set barn burners between these two.
Dayton loses a big weapon to graduation in Lauren Bruns but Tim Horsman always seems to have scoring depth on the pins. VCU returns Jasmin Sneed who has been a force for the Rams ever since her freshman year. St.Louis always challenges and I like George Mason as the dark horse.
Go Flyers!

Dayton just won a 5-set thriller against Pittsburgh. It appears that Pitt played its starters the whole time.
(25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 23-25, 19-17)

30K for Jamie Peterson! Talk about a comeback story, she's been on a medical redshirt since 2016 after getting shoulder surgery.

2017 medical redshirt. 2018 birth of her child. 2019 - A10 POY candidate. She’s the real deal. #73 recruit coming out of high school. And yes, both teams basically played their starters the entire match.

And yes, both teams basically played their starters the entire match. Not true. Pitt played a different lineup each set. As did Dayton. For example one set Alli Papesh didn’t play at all. And she will be one of the left OHs starting next week. Thus the word “basically” meaning the coaches looked at some other players, but at any given time it was mostly the players who will be in the rotation next weekend.

Goooo Dayton Flyers! They have a really tough preseason schedule so it will be interesting to see how they do! So far they aren't doing very well. 0-3 start to the season. I'm not sure that's entirely fair. They are an unranked mid-major who took two P5 schools to 5 sets. The letdown today against Louisville is not that surprising considering how much energy they expended last night. They get a couple more cracks at it next weekend against Missouri and Michigan.
