I was hoping he would get that surgery now if not sooner. Depending on the extent, I would think he will be ready to go come late July 2020. For Japan at the end of this month, I expect Matt to shift over to take some extra work on the Left and Patch and Shaw to battle for more consistent production on the opposite. I ,too, hope TJ will be up for the challenge. This Norceca tourney will be a great opportunity to demonstrate some consistent leadership and production. * OH is super thin in Anaheim right now Ahhh...Didn’t even think of Shaw. I feel like OH has been thin for two summers now!!! Such a talented group...when all are healthy and available!!!

US swept Guatemala today, I only caught from 20-22 in the third, which they came back and won 26-24.
Starters were: OPP: Ensing, MB2: Jendryk, OH1: Sander, S: Ma'a, MB1: Stahl, OH2: DeFalco, L: Dagostino.

But the score was much closer today -21 22 24. I have high hopes of this lineup beating Cuba and challenging Canada, which may be a tougher task

Where is Shaw, anyways? Surprised he didn't make this NORCECA roster.

Makes a lot of sense

Makes a lot of sense I assume you are aware that Jeff Jendryk, Mitch Stahl and George Huhmann are all middles. I also assume that you know that Price Jarman and Brendan Schmidt are also middles. Contrary to your original assumption, I am only suggesting that there may be another reason why a particular player or players may not be on this or other rosters. There are some players that Coach Speraw has had a nice opportunity to work with and some he has not so much. I don't think he is up in Winnepeg. Perhaps you are correct, perhaps not. If you would like to discuss middles, let me know.

The same goes to Any Position. Logic

With 3 sweeps in pool play, Team US advance to semifinals directly and have tomorrow off. Semifinals will likely be against the winner of Mexico vs Dominican the day after tomorrow. Canada likely gets Cuba in the semi.
Keep it up

Logic Yep ^ You'd think when the team was announced, and the following was part of said announcement, it implies (imo) that if you were not on this roster, you are not in consideration for the World Cup. “This is a great opportunity for this group to go and prove that they’re worthy of being on the World Cup roster,” U.S. Head Coach John Hawks, an assistant for UCLA’s men’s team, said. “And making an impact for Tokyo next summer.”
