Sometimes I think you try too hard to be negative G2. Watching this final I saw Jake play great. But playing the Dutch you aren’t going to dig a ton of balls because they aren’t shooting often. In the third set 7-9 Taylor digs and scores in transition, same thing on 8-9. Then scores off a free ball at 11-11 to take the lead. Jake played so well they switched to serving Taylor and then went back to Jake because Taylor was siding out so well. Also got them out of system several times with that high deep floatie. I thought Taylor played pretty well. I think you’re off on this take. I dont think Taylor was bad, just kind of neutral. I dont think he was a big plus or a big minus for his team Thanks for the Facebook link. I agree re: Taylor. It is true the Dutch game isn't given to many rallies, but Taylor didn't do anything that made me think... wow, only Taylor gets that up. On the other hand, Taylor was just average on sideout. The above poster said they went to Taylor b/c Jake was siding out so well. They should have stayed on Taylor. Jake was siding out at a higher %. Taylor has great cutties and touch shots, but too often will commit to a shot before knowing where exactly the defender is. And when he's bombs away, his sideout % is not very good. So that you know where i'm coming from on that, the defender I enjoy watching most is Alvaro Filho.
