Never on a highway. Got off an exit, parked my car, and walked into the bushes. It was somewhere between Santa Maria and Santa Barbara, off Highway 101. That's a dry area -- thanks for watering the plants.

My latest pet peeve:
Stupid motorists who occupy the "Keep Clear" area marked on the street. This area is marked as such so as to allow other motorists to squeeze in and out of parking lots and driveways. It's also for fire trucks to get in an out of fire stations.

Speaking of which, mine lately is Didi (Chinese Uber) drivers who park in the driveway waiting for their passenger. This stupid 农 can’t park on either side of the driveway, must be in the middle so no one can enter the parking garage?!?

Another pet peeve.
People who do wide turns. The problem is that they almost always cross an adjacent lane -- and thus create a traffic hazard -- in order to do the wide turns. For example, a guy wants to do a U-turn at a 4-way intersection. Instead of simply doing the U-turn, he first crosses over onto the adjacent right lane -- thus creating a hazard for the car in that lane -- and then does the U-turn. But they don't have to do this at all. They can simply stay in their lane and just turn. You also see this in residential areas where people do a cross over into the adjacent lane to drive into their driveway.
I've been able to do all sorts of turns with trucks, vans, and little sedans -- all without ever crossing into an adjacent lane.
I just want to kill these people. That'll show 'em.

People are fundamentally selfish a lot of the time.

Many drivers are scared to do things like make tight-radius turns (or hard stops or accelerations, etc.). It is out of their comfort zone.

Were you in Shanghai over the weekend, Wolfgang? Some doof did exactly what you wrote and came within 5 inches of bumping me while pulling a u-turn. Had to honk my horn, which is illegal inside Shanghai city, but if I didn't then the doof would have bumped me.

I suppose that prevents the delivery driver from getting blocked in. People are fundamentally selfish a lot of the time. Inconsiderate, and many of them. Here is another one...I am getting ready to back into a parking space, people see me moving in reverse yet they still walk behind the car. Best one are the pedestrians who has their nose in their cellphone while crossing the street veeeerrrrry slowly. Hoping one day it'll be legal to run them over.

Ever since the pandemic, more and more people have been walking on roads in addition to and instead of on sidewalks. At first, people walked on sidewalks and then moved over to the roads for social distancing. Now, people are just walking on roads even though the sidewalks are free. And some of them won't even move for vehicles. Driving me insane.

It was Sally who first suggested, "Let's walk in the roads! I bet that will make Wolfgang cray-cray!" Seems like she was right, so I'm giving Sally her props.

It used to just be older White women. They're still there but now Asian and Indian women. Children, too, riding their bicycles with no regard for the existence of vehicles.

In my neighborhood, no one stops at intersections despite STOP signs. My residential area has so little traffic, drivers do a lot of rolling stops before making a turn because they just assume there's no cross traffic. The problem with these rolling stops is that, in many instances, the rolls are so fast that it's kinda ridiculous to even call them "rolling stops" anymore.
Frikkin' b**t***s.
