No ones upset except the ones defending KW basically breaking the rules because she feels, knows, thinks she can get away with little issues like this. FIVB Equipment rule 4.3.1 is pretty straightforward. Players to where matching colors and configuration of uniform. So. Isn’t a rule a rule or not for KW? What other professional, college, high school , grade school, Pop Warner, Little league, you name the team sport, allows out of uniform players to participate ? What, wait, wait...... None... what ? None. BTW: BS’s bib is clearly marked USA & FIVB front and back. Why is KW above these rules and the guidelines all others must adhere too? Clearly P is more important to her than USAV. So why should she garner financial support when she cannot properly suit up? Of course p1440 is more important to her than USAV, she would be a moron if it weren't Also much like Sponcil's hands - an abomination in the eyes of God if there ever were one - its not breaking a rule if the rule is not enforced. That said the rule you site, configuration and color, would seem to be satisfied anyway

The norceca tour is run on a shoe string budget without any rules and with a crap volleyball. No what really goes to the events and they really don’t enforce the rules. Fivb provides the tops and they are strict on all of the rules. Kerri didn’t have to follow the rules because no one real cares except a few people on the message board.

By the way, even though NORCECA or the CEV are attached to the FIVB, they still have their own competition rules. The FIVB rules that were stated here do not count for NORCECA tournaments. If a tournament does not provide uniforms/shirts players usually can choose what they want to wear. Simple as that.

Kerri didn’t have to follow the rules because no one real cares except a few people on the message board. I would think USOC would care that a player funded by USAV in an Olympic qualifying tournament chose to wear a jersey that did not have USA on the front. It is symbolic, as are so many things in life. Symbolic thinking separates us from animals. It is a sign of human intelligence. The omission of that symbol, "USA", can be interpreted as reflecting her core values. It may have been an innocent omission. Who knows. Maybe Brooke had her regulation black/white with USA front and back, and the one they (whoever they is) gave Kerri the wrong size, and she fished through her drawer to find a black/white that fit, that wasn't regulation. I'm merely expressing how that omission of USA on the front was interpreted by... me.

Rules are petty. Following rules is petty. Someone above the rules feels all other that have to follow them are petty. These USAV athletes are all petty fools for not wearing their own gear. They can you know, because FIVB equipment rules are petty. http://instagram.com/p/B3hYfXCA65G

USAV has never required or even pushed the players use the uniforms they provide. Besides the top few players most players don’t have apparel sponsor so they are happy to use the stuff USAV gives them. FIVB supplies tops for there events that they require the players to use.
