Fenerbahce is my pick for the league title this year! Not a ton of depth on the bench but the starting line-up is top notch.

ECZ 2-1
Bosko having a monster game. Krob not showing her NT dominance.

ECZ with the win, 15-12. A very competitive high quality match. Bosko the difference but stellar play across the board. Krob getting fewer swings then the NT but still playing her upgraded Larson clone game. Lloyd at setter but with the Turkish foreigner rule limiting her floor time. Vargas, 20yrs, still showing her youth as she was blocked 12 times. Still she has a great future. Like Hooker who at 24 was the best OP in the world and then was banned from the NT for the next 7 years, Vargas has been banned from the Cuban team for four years and rumors have her applying for property based quick citizenship in Turkey to be eligible for the Turkish NT by the time she is 24.

Jordan Thompson's first match for Fenerbache is Jan 17 at 9am PST. She should be an immediate starter replacing the injured Vargas. Fortunately she has Krob to help with the cultural translation and also Naz, one of the best setters in the world, coming off of a sterling performance in the CEV Oly qualifiers. Yollari is 5-6 in 6th place and are led by Bujis and Kingdon. TV on TRT Spor 2 which is typically geo=blocked. www.trtspor.com.tr/canli-yayin-izle/trt-spor-2/ - geo=blocked A sometimes alternative for viewing is: www.canlitv.vin/trt-spor-2-canli-izleTÜRK HAVA YOLLARI VS FENERBAHÇE OPET TV Link TRT - Spor 2 - 17 January 2020 - 18:00

Krob getting fewer swings then the NT but still playing her upgraded Larson clone game. ... not sure why we even need to compare players like this (both are impressive players in their own right), but Krob this season: .304 hitting percentage, 2.7 kills/set. Larson this season: ~.340 hitting percentage, ~4 kills/set. Krob has been key to Fenerbahce competing with Eczacibasi and Vakif again, but would hardly say she is "still playing her upgraded Larson clone game."

Are your stats based on NT season or club season? If it is club season, we should be aware that Larson is playing against generally weaker opponents compared to Robinson. If it is based on NT season, that's really impressive given her age.

The strength of the league is definitely a factor, but I'm not sure it accounts for 1.3 more kills/set, and 40 points higher hitting percentage. Krob is also surrounded by many more terminal hitters and has a much better setter. And the bottom of the Turkish league is by no means elite... Either way, not really any evidence to support her still playing as an "upgraded Larson clone." I also think posters put way too much stock into her NT season against B/C-level teams.

I'm rooting for Vakifbank as usual. But without Zhu Ting, it's gonna be tough.
