5 of the last 6 matches between these two teams have gone to 5 sets.
In the last 3 matches the Hawks have held a 2 sets to 1 lead going into the 4th.

I love my Hawks, but I think this one will be Purdue in 4.
Rients has started the past couple of games instead of Jones. I imagine that will continue tonight.

This is going to be a tough one... but the Boilermakers/Hawkeyes have churned out quite the impressive series over the past couple seasons so I'm just going to sit back, let myself be entertained, and hopefully we can come out with a W!

Haven't had a chance to follow Hawk matches lately. I don't think so. Coach Brown said it was due to who is playing the best. Rients had 11 blocks against Indiana, so it seems justified.

Rients had 11 blocks against Indiana, so it seems justified. I won't lie, at first I was really shocked by the switch. I had thought coming into the season Jones had the safest position on the court, behind Orr. However, with such a strong MB coach and a fantastic blocking performance against Indiana I'm hoping we keep that momentum going. Traditionally, Iowa has been a dreadful blocking & serving program. I'd like to see good turnaround in at least one of those categories under Coach Brown! I also hope Amiya and the myriad of other young MBs we have on our roster take advantage of the strong competition gym. I'm confident Brown will lead and manage that mini-squad well, as I think they're the key to our success down the road.
