I think I need to clarify my "...in the dark about UCSB comment." The losses of Chavers at the left pin is huge because he was such a workhorse. Add on the solid defensive play of Hayden Boehle at L those are some key losses since they contributed so much last season. I like seeing McGarry and Sanders on the court and they give the 'Chos a good core. I saw Xia and Fredrick on the court last year and I thought they would be successful with either on the court-- which is a great problem to have. With exception of Hawaii, they've got the most solid group of returners coming back BUT I want to see them play before I lock down any predictions. Rick is doing some great work no doubt.

If Stanford can stay healthy, they could be very good.
In the UCLA vs UCSB match, Jensen and Ketrzynski had a very good connection. That connection that will bread and butter for the next four years. Jensen had a number of kills hitting in the front row. UCLA won the scrimmage but Wilcox did not play, so I would not the read to much into this result.
UCSB has many options this season.
If BYU can get passing under control, they also can be good.
It looks to be a very competitive season.
