Do you think wopat and Callahan will split even though they have their contract together? I think Claes and sponcil will stay together and so will Alix and April. Hughes push for finding the best partner will be the deciding factor if Larsen and stockman split. Then there’s the question of Wilkerson playing. I think she’d choose to play with Hughes over Brooke if Hughes doesn’t have a permanent partner for international tournaments too I can answer this. Callahan and Wopat went their separate ways. The sponsors: Horse Soldier Whisky, Alt Red and Janus all sponsor Callahan who has secured Evie Matthews as her coach and has been training double days for the past 8 weeks with Kolinskie, Boag, Paulus, Hyden, and has been out there with Crissy Jones, Stockman snd Larsen. Wopat played a CBVA with Karissa Cook and took a 9th. Then, she stopped playing and has been in EMT school.

Casey and Fiel should be interesting to watch but I don't expect too much from them to be honest. I can see them being on fire in one game and blow the next game. Definitely a high energy team though and I think it's a good chance for Troy to learn from Casey and improve his game. Chaim and Chase probably should do pretty well (at least on the AVP tour).

I know practicing together was a big issue for Troy but I dont see this team as being much better than his current one. Casey sides out better than Bomgren and sets better, but only the setting will come into play that often, since teams seemed to be going to Troy by the end of the year. Casey also serves better, which will matter, but his defense is blah and he isnt fast. Fieldgren were a very athletic, quick team and Tim's D made up to some degree for Field's sloppy blocking. Casey/Troy will need to sideout at an incredible rate to beat top teams and I dont see them winning a ton of scramble plays

Though Wopat's instagram post yesterday makes it clear she intends on playing another season on the AVP.

Where does this put Casebeer? Also is Brian Cook confirmed with any1? People seem to think Stafford will leave Billy too, so things may get interesting

Tim Bomgren is hinting on IG that he’s found a new partner for AVPs. Theo seems to be the best guess based on the comments.

I think it may be somebody good who is currently out of the Tokyo race. Whomever it is, I can see them pairing with Bomgren for a year to win some AVP money, and then finding someone in the next partner shuffle for 2024.

Maybe:
Bomgren/Slick Reid/Theo
but only if Reid splits the prize money 70/30 to the partner.

They'll likely be the worst serving team on tour. But Theo will be a much better blocker than Troy and won't make crazy unforced mistakes. Definitely not as fun to watch, though.

Theo admitted on Sandcast that he got out of shape and part of it was just all the nagging injuries prevented him from being able to train hard. I wonder if he’s done with FIVB now. Maybe focus more on being a dad.

Troy kind of left staring into space. I think he dumped Tim, not the other way around
